My family and I were on a road trip, needed to have dinner and didn’t feel for fast food. We stumped across this location and decided to visit. Very hungry and looking forward for the good meal, we were very much disappointed. None of our meals were tasty. We had 4 different dishes and they were all terrible. Initially I ordered a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup- it was $5.99. To my surprise when the waiter brought the bowl for me it was about 1/2cup amount in a tiny bowl. Not to mention it was only broth and 3 little bite size pieces of meat. No veggies or pasta in there as advertised. When we asked the waiter about the missing ingredients she responded- it was like that yesterday. We were just shocked. Our other orders include not your mama mac and cheese- my kid said the cup Mac and cheese tasted better. He was absolutely correct. Citrus chicken- no flavor, appeared as thought it was just chicken on the grill. Fried fish and okra, chicken tenders and waffles. The tenders were size of a gizzard- fried and shriveled up. Waffle was bitter. Definitely not recommending this location. A lot of the condiments were missing. Asked for syrup for waffles, didn’t have. Asked for fruit cup as advertised for the kids meal- they didn’t have- served store packaged applesauce. There was no honey butter for the bread that was provided. They said they didn’t have anymore. The table was sticky and the bathrooms were not clean. Food definitely not worth the price and the service didn’t compensate. If the customer service was good, I’d consider giving them another chance. But...

Wow, what happened to this place? We used to visit several times a year en route to the beach for a nice lunch. However we recently stopped in for lunch on 10/12, and due to the unfortunate and unacceptable experience we will not be coming back. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot we noticed how empty it seemed for a prime lunch time on a weekday. Upon entry, we were greeting nicely and seated immediately as there was practically no one else there. The booth seats were sticky and a bad odor was present in the dining area. The iced tea had an awful taste. Over 20 minutes(!) after placing our order, the server returned to "verify" that I had ordered the chicken sandwich. We waited over 35 minutes for our food; how is this possible during lunch time with a mostly empty restaurant? I found this odd but still hoped for the best. To our dismay the food was not good. I have worked in the food service business in management, and I know when things are really wrong. I also know how french fries are supposed to be, and my fries were horrible. I don't mean that they were simply cold, they were so chewy that they seriously seemed to be left over from the previous day! the chicken inside our sandwich/wraps was rubbery and sparse. After we finished, feeling half sick, a visit to the restroom was truly horrifying! at only 12:30 PM, the bathrooms were FILTHY! Urine all over the floor, toilets full of waste, sinks dirty. This was our second time coming while traveling thru. I want to give this place fewer stars based off of tonight but our first experience was great. Our first visit we were seated quickly, service was friendly & efficient. The food came out fast & was delicious. While traveling back home we encouraged friends to go with us. We walked in and waited for several minutes and no one came to seat us. I noticed an employee saw us but kept going. After several more minutes (close to 5 now) I went into the bar to inquire about a table. The bartender was the employee who noticed us & kept going. She very rudely said I will be there in a minute we have no hostess tonight. When she came over we told her 9, but this was counting an infant who only needed a seat. Again very rude said I doubt we can seat you we only have 3 servers. ( We only noticed about 6 tables of people) she disappeared to ask her manager. A waitress came over to ask how many (I believe our waitress from our first stop) . We told her 9 and she was going help us. But the bartender came back and snapped at her and said the manage said no. I simply asked if we came in as 2 smaller parties would they have sat us. The bartender rolled her eyes, and said, fine whatever we will seat you. At this point why would we want to be in that environment so we left. We felt bad because that rude employee cost the waitress at least a $40 tip. We were so disappointed after such a great experience the first time & the hotel even recommended it.
