We tried it again. I got the 5 chicken strip meal with 2 sides and an extra biscuit. My total was almost $19. That's just mine. My wife's wasn't much less. The staff were extremely unfriendly and acted like we ruined their day, taking our order and giving us anything. Our order wasn't even right when we received it. The food was cold and the chicken strips were hard as a rock. The tables were filthy. I can see why the dining room was empty. I doubt we will be back.
Let me start by saying, the chicken is great! The service on the other hand is bad. We have gotten the same lady three times in a row and she has screwed up our order every time. All three times, she was more worried about going and taking her break than she was getting our order together. All three times, we were missing items, the order itself was incorrect, or she was strait up incoherent. I walked back up to the counter and asked for napkins, she stuck the napkins in another guys bag, turned around and ignored me standing there. After about 5 mins, another lady turned around and said can I help you. I said I'm still waiting on napkins. The lady I asked for napkins just mumbled off something to me that sounded like "I thought I handed you napkins and walked off. I would understand if they were busy, but all three times we were only one of two couples in...
Read moreMy family and I decided to try the Popeye's Chicken out in Clemson one evening after work and school. We wanted to Dine in, so we parked and proceeded to approach the entrance. There was and employee standing just outside the door conversating with a lady. As we approached the door they went inside and locked the door. (Rude).
I told my wife the pandemic has been lifted and all the restaurants dining areas were supposed to be opened. Maybe they didn't realize the door had been locked. ( Sarcastically) We went through the drive thru to order our dinner, and still had to wait for someone to greet us and take our order. 40 mins and $40 later after we were asked to pull in the reserve parking area. I thought they forgot about us, and they did.
I honestly think they are trying to drive the customers away.
Terrible service. I know the pandemic depleted our workforce, but Dawg! Just Pitiful.
To the owners of this facility, If you want to see how this restaurant is doing business. Two words "Undercover Boss".

Read moreI have been through this particular Popeyes three times now. My first experience was great, no complaints. However, the second time I visited this restaurant, I went through the drive-thru and ordered a six mild tender combo. After driving home and checking my order, I saw that I was handed three in-bone pieces of chicken, and two of the smallest tenders I have ever seen. The food had obviously been sitting in the bottom of its bin for a while.
Even after this experience, I tried to give the staff another chance. I ordered the six piece two can dine combo again. After paying, I pulled over, opened the box and found a single fried chicken tendon with coleslaw, cold fries and a biscuit. After going inside to get new chicken, I proceeded to wait twenty minutes for the staff to get me my correct order. I also had the opportunity to talk to a few other customers who had the same experience as me, so I know I was not the exception.
I love the brand and will continue to provide them with my business, but I do not plan on visiting this location until change...
