Came here for the first time Friday night around 8:30pm. Wasn't very busy although the bowling alley next door was and had karaoke going on which was giving us some good laughs. The atmosphere was fun and having the cars and motorcycles hanging from the ceiling was pretty cool. Walked to the hostess station and they asked if we were dining in, we said yes, and they took us to our table which we heard them talking about being in Ivy(sp?)'s section. We sit down and look over menus for the next 15 or so minutes with zero service. It was at this point that we were getting up to go sit at the bar to get drinks and order food since we were obviously being neglected at the table. As we get up a waitress comes over and asks us if we've been helped. I replied no and that we were going to sit at the bar and she says well I can take care of you guys if you want to stay at the table. We agreed and she introduces herself as Ivy, the one that was supposed to be taking care of us all along!! She takes our drink order and brings back two waters and a beer, and takes our order. We order an appetizer since we were hungry and went ahead and ordered our entrees too, a burger and a steak. 40 or so minutes go by, us talking and listening to the singing next door, still no food. I come back from the bathroom and am about to look for someone to allow me to pay for the beer and we could leave as they were not busy enough for it to take this long to whip up an appetizer to start. As I'm doing this a guy brings out our food; appetizer and entrees, go figure... We start eating, the food was mediocre at best, my sides came out wrong, and having the appetizer come out at the same time really didn't help how we were feeling. Soon, I'm out of beer and we're both out of water by the time we're halfway through the entrees and the waitress still hasn't made her way back. We flag her down and just ask her to bring to go boxes and the check; by this time we've had enough and just want to go home. She brings the boxes and disappears, still no check. We see the guy that brought our food and asked him for lids for our sauces and to see if he could get someone to bring our check. Turns out he's the general manager, Rodney. He senses my frustration and asks if everything was alright to which I explain that it's been a terrible first experience and we just wanted to leave. I tell him everything that happened above and he shares how he just took over this location a couple months ago and is trying to get things sorted out. He then calls for Ivy to come to the table and questions her on the poor service we received, right at our table!! He tells us he's taking 50% off of our bill to try to make things right. I explain to him we didn't come in looking for a free or cheap meal, we just would've liked decent customer service. He won't back down from giving us the discount and has sometime bring us our check. While he's still talking to Ivy at our table, (and now Brittany who Ivy said was supposed to have our table instead of her, and so on) another guy brings our check to which I just hand him my card without looking at it; really distracted by the employee-manager talks going on right at the table with us present. He comes back and I sign my receipt for $68... The full price of our meal: 1 Modelo (don't know the price), 1 appetizer ($15), one burger ($14), and one steak ($30). This was the first and last time I think we will visit this location. I could understand if they were slammed, but this was just not the...
Read moreNot even sure where to start on the problems. We arrived at 7:45, stood in line behind a couple, over 10 empty tables and booths, we waited 22 minutes before we got seated. Once seated, we wasn’t greeted by a waitress for an hour, no drink, no acknowledgment or anything. The couple that came in before us just got up and left they waited so long. This was my grandson’s birthday so we waited. Finally a waitress came and stated she didn’t know who our waitress was but she would take our order. So we ordered our drinks and food at the same time, 26 minutes after that she brought out 5 drinks, nothing fancy just water, tea and a soda. I convinced everyone to just leave and go somewhere else and as soon as we stood up to put our coats on, the waitress finally came out with the food. The restaurant was not busy at all, the bar was crowded but lots of empty tables. It was 1 hour before our food came out, most of the orders were wrong, my appetizer came out with the food, potato wedges, cold and hard, the cheese wasn’t even melted, I passed them around the table and after one bite, everyone put them back down. She dropped my grandson’s food in the floor. My daughter got the wrong flavor wings, my other daughter didn’t get the sauce flat for her tenders. They brought out my steak last, the ribeye looked like shoe leather, I didn’t complain because I didn’t expect quality at that point. But no silverware, when she brought my salad, I had to ask for silverware. The waitress then brought out plastic packs of silverware, I asked is this how they expect someone to eat a 30 dollar steak, with a plastic knife and fork? She said they didn’t have any it was all in the dishwasher. So I tried to make due with the little plastic knife. My steak was rock hard and not cooked the way I ordered. I asked for a knife and she finally brought one, but my the 3rd bite, the steak was already coming home to the dog. I tried to remain cheerful for the occasion but the lack of service was saddening. I counted over 6 waitresses most of them just standing around talking, playing in their hair and playing with each others hair, faux locks and braids down past their kneecaps, doing absolutely nothing to attend to the customers or clean tables and the floor. So many people just sitting at tables not being tended to. We have been to this restaurant before, the energy has shifted, the service and quality is awful. The manager never came out to greet us, after such an ordeal, the manager should come and address the concerns of their customers. We had 4 adults and 2 children, they discounted my check for dropping the food in the floor but added a whopping gratuity to each of our checks. We won’t return to this location. I paid 65 dollars so my grandbaby could snack on cold french fries and my dog at home can eat the overcooked steak. So many people need jobs and could do a better job then the staff hired to work at Quaker, they are a lost cause, and although terrible at her job, our waitress was nice. We did not go bowling because of how long dinner took. Arrived at 7:45 didn’t get...
Read moreStarted off perfect, good music, bowling, games etc... When started to order food, I noticed the bartender was eating. Understandable, get your food in before the Saturday night rush. To fast forward, food ordered was great. Then ordered dessert. Bartender started to drink alcohol, he looked at me and showed his crack but Tshirt, to say he didn't care if saw him. After an hour, my dessert was not ready. I inquired about it and he said they just started cooking it. I then said never mind. To find out later by the manager that they made it and I never got it. (Theft in the workplace is great... Just saying) The manager on duty Evelyn was very nice and considerate. She even offered a gift card but I said I won't be returning. She said she would talk to the bartender/server, but her being younger, I know what the end result will be... (Nothing) Being in that position before, needing help, you just ignore the negative. Not understanding that you lose customers that way. The young lady that was trying to order sat in a group for a long time. She wanted to order and he said it would be better if they came to the bar. Then he told her she can't order right then because he has to check on other orders. She was very pissed off and she decided not to order. She was really mad...smh. I felt sorry because being in a managerial position for over 40 years, there is but so much we can do when there are hardly good customer service people to do good work at that moment. Only left a tip because it was before I found out about my desert. Would have given a 5 for food, but didn't get a chance to taste the...
