We're vacationing in Cherry Grove (North Myrtle) and found Salt Water Grille on Google. We are so glad we did. This place is a true gem that is away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle, and so worth the drive! The service was so friendly from the moment we walked in the door. Everything we had was delicious. The hush puppies were delicious and were served with amazing butter that tasted like it had cinnamon and maybe a little bit of honey. So good!! My sons had the kids grilled cheese sandwich and kids chicken tenders and they both loved their meals... That speaks volumes because my kids are so picky! I had the grilled pork chops and they're probably the best ones I've ever had. They tasted like they had been marinated because they were so moist and so tender. And they were huge! My husband had a grilled chicken breast, which he enjoyed. My dad had a BBQ sandwich and my mom had a BLT, which they both said were very good. We had no complaints. The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back on our next vacation. I highly recommend this place if you're on vacation anywhere near Myrtle Beach!...
Read moreFirst off, when we walked in we were greeted by Derrell and told we could have a seat at whatever table we wanted and he would be right with us. It is a hole in the wall type place, there is a bar attached with karaoke on Saturday nights but the restaurant was not loud and not busy. Derrell was very attentive and apologetic that they were out of baked potatoes (we got there late so understandable). We asked if he had hush puppies to which he replied, "oh yea, we do but I'm sorry we are out of the honey butter I make for them", again very apologetic. He brought out an order of the hush puppies and they were amazing! I got the seafood platter with flounder, shrimp, and stuffed crab, everything was excellent! My husband went with the 12oz ribeye and he was very pleased with it! So overall, the food was great but we mostly enjoyed talking with Derrell! He has a wonderful attitude and customer service skills! We are in Myrtle Beach every fall for a conference. We will make a yearly visit to Salt...
Read moreSalt Water Grille is a place you would drive by and not even notice. By appearance, with the people sitting outside and smoking cigarettes, if you're a non-smoker, you would most likely avoid & it may be intimidating to have to walk by the people hanging outside because it appears to be just a local "gin mill". Take the time to go in and have a couple drinks and a meal. Definitely not what I would consider a place for kids? although the restaurant area is set up like a cafeteria and can accommodate families. I or we prefer to sit in the bar area at a high-top table to eat. I have been here many times for dinner & cocktails. When it comes to food, no matter what I have ordered it has been wonderful. I'm a Grey Goose dirty martini girl and every time my drink is spot on & tasty with just the right mix to it. The wait staff & bartenders that I have encountered are super friendly & accommodating to requests within reason. I would recommend to anyone to give it a shot...you just...
