Waffle House — Restaurant in South Carolina

This Waffle House is our favorite in our area. We eat here almost every Saturday. But, today was different. The food was outstanding, as usual. But, the service today was beyond terrible. Our waitress today, Brittany, had the worst attitude of any waitress I have ever had. She took our order and handed our ticket to the guy calling out the orders and walked off. She never brought us our drinks. After about 10 min of watching her walk around drinking a Red Bull, I asked her if we could go ahead and get our drinks. She brought us our drinks and then took 2 straws out of her pocket and threw them hard down in the middle of the table , like she was mad. Our food came out and our waffle was missing. She said it wasn’t ready yet. So, by the time we had both almost finished eating she was nowhere to be found. The guy calling out the orders was standing next to our table. So, I asked him if he could check on it. He checked and it had been given to someone else because Brittany didn’t pick it up, when it was ready. So, they had to remake it. He brought it to us, when it was done. She never gave us any refills. So, he also gave my husband a refill on his tea. I have never left a restaurant without tipping. This is the ONLY Waffle House location that I will eat at and thats due to many factors. For starters, the service that Chrissy, and Mary provide is not only professional but also comes with hospitality and genuine care. The pair has made it their mission to make everyone feel like they are guest, not just customers. It makes ones meal so much better when its provided with attention, respect, and just down right southern love. Their crew keeps the establishment clean and welcoming as well as comfortable and enjoyable. I have been in the food service industry for 20+ years and I tend to observe more than the average due to said training. I most definitely can say with full confidence that Chrissy and Mary are the faces and reasoning for this location to be up and running! We love them and hope they are recognized for their hard work! The customer service was horrible. I normally eat from here every other week. I called to place an order, and no one never picked up. So I decided to leave work since I had 30 minutes to spare, get there only to find one person working. I told the lady exactly what I wanted and she wrote it all down in front me. Waited for about 30-45 minutes before receiving my order. When I got to where I was going my order was wrong and missing two things. I called back and talked to a lady and she was rude and smart all at the same time. I let her know that my order was wrong and that I was unable to come back because I had to work. I let her know what was wrong with my order and her response to me was "I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do." I asked her what kind of Customer Service is this?
