The level of customer service at the Rivers Avenue Zaxby's is HORRIBLE! My order was $5.37. When I approached the drive thru window to pay, I gave the cashier $6.00. She gave me a receipt with no change. I simply asked her where was my change and she said that she didn't have any change. I said "excuse me"? She became agitated with me, then told me that she was giving me the change from her own pocket. She handed me my food, then called me crazy. Really? I asked for the manager even though the line was backed up...Too bad... What you will not be allowed to do is call me crazy because I expected my change of .67 (cents). She was very rude, unprofessional, and NASTY! To whomever is reading this: Do you realize how much additional revenue they will bring in if they kept everyone's change? Would they have accepted my offer if I only gave them $5 instead of $5.37? The appropriate time to let someone know that they don't have change is when the order is being made. Please be mindful that the manager came to the window and offered NO level of satisfaction. And because both of them offered substandard service, I gave them the food back, which he accepted through the drive thru window and I requested my entire $6.00 back. Please also be advised that the rude girl at the window was yelling and telling me to give her back her .67 (cents). It is my ultimate prayer that the owner will get a glimpse of the substandard service that is provided at the Zaxby's on Rivers Avenue. If I stole .67 (cents) from their register, it would be considered petty larceny; a crime. Why should she be allowed to steal from me, then call me crazy for calling her out on it? Does anyone have an answer? ...
Read moreGood food, but the only problem that I have with them is that when you order a Zalad with them, they do not put enough lettuce in the salad versus plenty of the other ingredients! This past weekend I ordered 3 Zalads for myself and my family, and after receiving my order at the window, I checked everything for correctness, etc. Well, I found out that ALL 3 Zalads barely had any level of lettuce in them, so I took them back into the lobby and demanded that they fix the situation. The young manager there tried to say that's too bad that is all I get because they measure how much lettuce they put in their Zalads. Really? I told him/her/whatever that that is NOT enough lettuce in no uncertain terms and that they need to fix the lettuce problem asap. It told me that I needed to say "Heavy Lettuce" next time I order, but no, I won't. Every other Zaxbys in Charleston gives the correct amount of lettuce in their Zalads, this particular one needs to come up to standards and compliance and quit jipping off the customers. Needless to say, I won the arguement and they gave me the extra lettuce in a Zaxby Chicken tender container. Thanks! The prices are always going up, but the customer is not getting what they paid for! Other than that, the food quality and tastiness makes up for the lack of materials...
Read moreStopped in with wife and kids. As west coast folks we had never seen a zaxbys before. They are all over the place here. We weren't sure what to expect. Was hard to tell if it was like a Buffalo wild wings / native wings. It isn't either of those. The staff and food turned out fine. This place reminded us of something in between a popeyes chicken and a wing stop. Maybe a Culver's but specialized in chicken. Which by the way they cook it well and tasted like someone knows what they are doing. The spice worked out well, this place must be consistent because they have multiple locations. My only knocks on it is the wait time was pretty bad for dining in. There was maybe 2-3 other families inside the restaurant and we waited maybe 30-35 minutes for the food. We could have went through the drive through like 6 or 7 times got our order and sat down inside to eat it. 2nd is the bathroom was definitely not in good shape, and could only accommodate 1 at a time basically.
TLDR. Good = food, staff, choices, prices. ....CHICKEN Bad = dine in...
