If there was a possibility that my review could help to inform this restaurant that they are incapable of NOT HAVING TO CLOSE UP in the next 6 months, this will be the one... we went there following a wedding with a party of at least 20.... we were offered no specials. We were offered 3 entrees to choose from. Ordered..... 2 HOURS LATER they were not prepared to serve us. All of a sudden (after bread was served, but no salads OR OFFERS TO REPLENISH DRINKS, WHETHER IT BE WATER, WINE, OR MIXED DRINK)........ a small soup bowl of penne pasta with vodka sauce started appearing... I ask, why are we getting pasta before our entree????? THEN my husband had enough.... I told the manager I didn't want my food anymore & to box it up. Turns out that they were not prepared for out order, so to HOLD US OVER they brought the "EASY PASTA" to tables for us.... DEAL BREAKER.... WHO DOES THAT???? This was deplorable. ALSO, IT WAS DESPICABLE TO US THAT SOMEONE approached the NEW BRIDE That time to inform her that SHE NEEDED TO PAY FOR THE WHOLE DINNER BY CHECK OR CASH BEFORE SHE LEAVES, DUE TO THE LARGE PARTY.... Screw these people. Obviously amateurs to the world of running a restaurant. ...
Read moreComing from S.E. Florida this restaurant is a hidden gem, the outside of the building does not flash their name. You need to know where it is, which I'm sure the locals know. The interior is very warm and inviting. The staff extremely friendly and very helpful in explaining their specials, as well as any of the items listed on their menu. Service was impeccable, the staff consistently checking to make sure everyone was happy and satisfied. The food was fantastic. Italian dishes meticulously made from scratch. You could readily taste the various spices in each dish with beautiful presentations when the dishes arrived.
The restaurant and staff made the evening a truly Special Occasion, which was appropriate since the 8 of us were a bride, with members of her family, who was getting married the next day! Thank You to A Taste of Italy for a meal and an evening that will not be soon...
Read moreDon’t do it! This is probably the worst Italian restaurant we’ve been to. My husband is Italian and we know how Italian dishes should taste. This didn’t even come close. The bread and the herb infused oil didn’t taste like anything. Fried calamari were served without any seasoning and the marinara sauce tasted like it was poured right out of the can. We ordered Caesar salad that was served with a house made dressing that didn’t even have a hint of anchovies in it. It was simply disgusting. My son ordered shrimp scampi that came with cold shrimp. The cherry on top was clams casino:two of them tasted like they have been in the fridge for a long time. On a Friday night a good restaurant should be packed. There were hardly anyone inside. At the end we paid $120 for three meals, and appetizer and a glass of wine. Save your money and go...
