I wavered between 3 & 4 stars for Bee'z. We chose to eat here because of the ratings of other diners. The hours listed on Google say 10 PM is closing time on a Saturday, we walked in at about 8:55PM. There was one other table in the dining area. There were several back of house employees that saw us through the window, there was a server cleaning a closed section that never acknowledged us, and another employee that walked past us a couple times without even a hello. Another employee came out to seat us, still no hello or welcome, just simply asked how many were in the party & seated us in a booth. Our server promptly greeted us, she was prompt throughout the meal, almost to the point of rushing us. I would not go as far as to say she was rude, but it was not a cordial experience, which is unfortunate because the food here was stellar. Nice almost home cooked feel with a little kick to take it up from what I would call a "family" cooking. We had wings, they were AWESOME, perfectly cooked. Also order pizza, a hoagie, steak. Everything was delicious, I can tell there is pride in what comes out of the kitchen.
All in all, Bee'z had the potential to knock it out of the park for a great casual stop that has that little extra, but when you're sour that you get business walking in an hour before you close and show it to the guest, it takes what sets you apart and casts a shadow on it. I should also say this doesn't sit solely on your servers, the window to your kitchen is open, people can hear.
When in the area I will give this place a try again. It could have been a...
Read moreMost bizarre terrible experience we have ever had at a local restaurant. Four of us went for a fun night out. Two ordered pasta and two order dishes that needed baked. Next thing two fire trucks pulled up. Waitress said they had an oven fire. She said the pasta was ready so she brought them to the table. She then brought the check?? Since we were in no hurry, we assumed that once the oven was operational again, they would bring the lasagna and calzone. To our amazement she said the lasagna and calzone burned up in the oven so we would have to go elsewhere to eat. WHAT? We just sat there flabbergasted. Then another very unprofessional, rude woman, we think the manager, came over and told us the same thing. YOUR FOOD BURNED UP SO YOU NEED TO GO ELSEWHERE. She also told my sister in law to SHUT UP for trying to understand what was going on. No offer to let them order something else or to rebake their original orders. Just rudeness. Then we hear other waitresses telling other customers that the oven would be up and running in 15 minutes. So basically we got kicked out because they refused to recook what was lost in the fire. Their behavior was bizarre. The pasta was very mediocre. Went to Oasis Pasta Rt 50 in Cecil. AWESOME HOMEMADE SPAGHETTI. Awesome food and very nice service. GO TO YELP AND SEE THE...

They survived COVID and even managed to give the dining room a face lift. It is much lighter now and the floor was replaced. The food is just as good as its always been and the wait staff is still top notch. We were seated immediately, the wait staff was hustling. Interesting specials were available. The only thing that went south was that there is not as extensive of a wine list. There are still wines, but not as many.
The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is not really that spicy - but then again, my palate can handle a LOT of spice. Their hot sauce is very heavy in the oil department. It was a tasty chicken sandwich, but not particularly spicy. The grilled seafood salad was quite good and the white french dressing is very sweet.
Another good experience and we really ought to visit more often.
Always friendly staff. Mostly normal bar food but with a great chefs specials menu which is really interesting. Good, but small, wine last. Generally a great spot for dinner. Had an absolutely great meal between the chicken marsala and penne vodka.
Another visit, and it was also successful. Two pizzas and gnocchi......
