Birrieria Esquivel — Restaurant in South Gate

I finally got to stop by the little place ... TOTALLY REGRET IT.... Klarissa tried serving me food that was not only handed to another customer ( a plate of tacos dorados) but the customer noticed it had no onion he even opened some tacos to check . The waitress took them to the kitchen and didn't throw them away instead put them on another tray and tried handing them to me I told klarissa that those tacos were handed to another customer and she said we know we put new consome . THATS A HUGE HEALTH HAZARD there's no restroom in the restaurant the customer just payed for his order and now you served us the food he touched .... Super unprofessional . AND INSTEAD OF JUST APOLOGIZING klarissa told the customer in line that it wasn't true . Thankfully the customer who touched my food told them that he did touch the tacos and his wife to and that wasn't correct .she gave me my cash back .. I filed a health complain form with...

Update!!!!! 11/29/2023 Recently my wife and I wanted some Biria tacos for our family of four. My wife ordered 16 tacos to go and when the cashier told her 60$, she almost fell back. This place has good food but everything has a limit. I don't think the tacos are made of wagyu beef but they price them the same. Too much for me, enough is enough!!! This place has lost its affordability, they are charging premium prices for a whole in the wall that sales good biria. 3.75 for each taco is outrageous. It's good but not that good.

This place is good. The Birria is excellent, although I believe it's beef not goat, non the less it's very good. The restaurant is a bit small but cozy, and the service is prompt. I also like the cleanliness. It's one of my go to spots for good...

Went to this small restaurant after having a tough time deciding what to eat. I looked around to see what is around us and I now base my decisions on reviews- this place had 5 stars with over 126 reviews. Not bad! So my wife and I ordered 3 Birria tacos w/consome and potato tacos (came with consome) even though it wasn't listed on menu. Ordered 2 Horchatas. First bite of our tacos and our eyes rolled back. It was the most savory tacos we have had in a good while. For my potato tacos they topped it off with lettuce and crema and quest fresco! I mean, I kid you not. I am a very picky person when I comes to tacos. We found our spot. We'll be coming back when we have our cravings! Try it...
