Read moreWe had been here before and did not have issues. Today I bought 2 regular ice creams in dishes. Mine was soft serve watermelon and it was literally 1/4 to 1/3 cup that was flaccid and flat. No peak & twirls as soft serve should be. It tasted like medicine. Oh my God, I wish I had taken a photo, but I was so mad after 1 to 2 spoonfuls I brought it back in. My son's hand dipped ice cream in dish was more plentiful than mine but probably 3/4 cup, which is a measly portion.
2 regular sized ice cream in dishes for $10 and change not worth it . Save your money and get bigger portions at 3B on route 39. They give at least 2 cupfuls of ice cream for $5 or less in a much larger cup.
I did get a refund for my ice cream so I give them 1 star credit for that, but this place needs to train the people to serve much more than what they served yesterday. I will go to 3B and show you what a real portion is !
I saved the cup my son had. It is very small and ice cream was at least 1 inch over the top. This was OK in comparison to mine, but not as much as 3B serves. Maybe 50% of what 3B and Rita's serves. I know I will never go to King Kone ever. This is first time in my life I have ever returned food item to any establishment & I've been around world and...
Read moreHonestly they sucked, plain and simple. I was second in line at drive-thru and it took 25 minutes and me going inside the store and telling them that I had been waiting a ridiculous amount of time for them to take our order. Then after 25 minutes and me talking to them we got to the speaker and they said that they don't have vanilla soft serve (the base for all soft serve flavors but chocolate and German chocolate). I work at a Dairy Queen (I've worked there for a year, through summer) and we have never have run out of ice cream. When we have lines out the door (inside the store) and lines to the road at drive-thru we don't run out of ice cream, because as an ice cream and soft serve shop you can't just run out of ice cream. Look at the forecast for the weather to see what the weather is going to be. The weather is not much of a surprise in this age of technology so you should plain ahead for that. Overall this trip wasted 25 minutes of my time, so I would not reccomend King...
