50's Drive-In — Restaurant in South Haven Charter Township

This place is not what I remember it being. Once a year my family goes here and it’s usually really good food and service but today just wasn’t our day. Only positive thing I have to say is the tables were cute and it was somewhat clean. Now To The Cons. Me and my family were all REALLY dissatisfied with the food and service this year. For starters they sometimes don’t wear gloves when preparing the food “Disgusting” we also got greeted with 80s music not classical like hello you’re a 50s diner why are you playing Material Girl By Madonna? I thought this was the 50s Diner? Second, The place already had a funky smell when we were waiting for our food “Cigarettes & Food Gone Bad type odors.” Third, when my uncle went to ask for the fries we’ve been waiting 20+ minutes for The woman at the counter gave us a stank face and said “THERE ARE TWO OTHER PEOPLE IN FRONT OF YOU.”WAIT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE” first of all, who are you to harass lady, we all know you gave them our meals and we wouldn’t have cared if you had just said “Oh or woops I’m sorry I might have, just given them away, let me remake your fries:)” but no we got a “Walking Dumpster” as a response. And when I asked for Ketchup the other woman just went “ughh,” threw a ketchup bottle at me making it almost fall off the counter and then just slammed the screen shut. No you don’t go “ughh” at me when you chose to work here and expect questions. If you’re understaffed that’s not my problem and if you know you don’t want to work, then leave the job you’re not forced to work here or something. Last we finally got our food, the only thing that I actually enjoyed was the medium sprite that I got which was very mediocre for being Diner Sprite. For the almost $30 meal which consisted of just two plain sliders a medium fry and a medium Sprite, The burgers were overcooked, The fries were over seasoned with this artificial tasting cheese, and it was just not a good experience at all. After 8 Years Of Coming Here I will not be coming back ever again and I don’t expect telling / recommending other family members to come here either. This place...

If only I can put zero or negative stars, I would. They're lucky that Google allows 1 star as the lowest.  This place should update their hours on Google or everywhere. Or, maybe they should change or replace their workers who knows how to communicate with each other. So disappointed in this place. We wanted to try this and even checked menu before going here. We arrived at 6:20PM and the car next to us was giving their order, when they're done the guy server went to put in their order. And he was just by the window where you take your order. The other server was helping others and taking trash, etc. There are only two servers and we're not sure who was supposed to go to us, it's our first time after all and then I guess being patient was not good, coz we tried to be patient and eventually tried to get their attention. Guess what, after waiting for 15 mins or so, the guy told us if anyone has taken our order. Uh, duh? It's just the two of them and he was in the car next to us when we got there. We told him not yet as we were waiting for one of them. And then he said they closed at 6:30PM, so they can't take our order anymore not 7 as advertised. He said there's a miscommunication between the two of them... I beg to differ as they just kept looking towards our car..Guess what?! We drove down the street and order McDonald's where we know they won't turn us away and it's the best McDonald's...

Was so disappointed eating here today. First when we ordered the girl wasn’t very helpful, my husband wanted to make sure there wasn’t sweet relish on his Chicago style dog and she said “i’ve never ate one before so I don’t know what goes on one” which felt rude because she should know what comes on one waiting on us and then cooking it.. then it took 30 mins for our food and there was no one else even there. We went down the road to eat(5min drive tops) and our food was so soggy it was gross. I got the sliders and for one I asked no tomatoes and of course they had tomatoes, they were so messy with sauce all over the wrapper and drenched the buns it made them so soggy I couldn’t even eat it all, my husbands hot dogs were soggy too. The fries should have been fresh but they tasted old and gross we didn’t even eat them.. for the price and the fact that there was no one else there I just expected better. I would have took a picture of the food but my hands were so messy and only got 2 napkins. We wont...
