A new non-corporate fast food restaurant just opened up recently, where the previous Arby’s use to be located, near the Redner’s strip mall in Sinking Spring. Because this restaurant is locally owned and operated, and it is also non-corporate fast food entity, we wish them only the very best, because we believe and support local businesses, because they are our friends and neighbors. Three of us attended for lunch, and we had mixed reviews. My buddy Magic enjoyed his ham sandwich and sweet potato fries that were excellent and delicious, but - my partner’s order of two for $7.50 (phenomenal deal) cheesesteak was lackluster at best. It was dry with no sauce. To make it worse, I ordered the two for $7.50 (teriyaki sandwiches) that was excellent and wonderful and delicious, but - for some bizarre reason, they gave us two incorrect orders prior, incidentally which they gave for free with no charge, in which we were grateful. Also the refillable drinks were too expensive, should not be higher then $1.99. I personally think they are having growing pains and a bunch of newbie employees that do not have fast food experience and background. We went the second time, but - this time through the drive thru, and ordered our favorite 2 teriyaki sandwiches for $7.50 that is probably their best in taste and price, but - when I asked for ice water, there response was “there was none, and they were out”. Really? No water?! Also when we got to the window, we saw two young employees messing around. Very disappointing! We will go back in another month, because we give everyone 3 strikes. Hopefully by then, they resolved their issues, especially their employees. We just recently went for our third time, and it seems that everything is now under control, and full steam ahead. We got our 2 teriyaki hoagie sandwiches, large onion rings and large sweet potatoes, and drinks. The odd thing, there were 8 delicious onion rings in a larger container that were cheaper then the smaller sweet potato fries that were more expensive. If you get both, it does not really matter, but - if you have to chose, the onion rings is a far superior deal. They passed our 3 strike rule test, and definitely have our future business, in which we have dined at Julie’s for the 5th time. We rarely go to other fast food, except Arby’s & Chick-fil-A, but - without using coupons, you still save $3 to $5 per meal. Have a great day! Thank You...
Read moreWe've been meaning to try this place since it opened. Finally we got the opportunity. We were impressed! The burgers are very good. A lot like a burger from the grill out back vs a fast food burger. The chicken tenders are excellent and very big! Fries are delicious. The chicken sandwich was large also. Lots of chicken for the price. I felt the regular chicken was a little bland so will be back to try the spicy one. I didn't realize they had milkshakes so I will be returning for one of those as well!
Service was great, we actually didn't get something we ordered but we went back and they went above and beyond to make it right. Everyone there is very friendly.
Room for improvement: The bags for the food are very small though and they really stuff them full so if your going drive thru, keep that in mind if your first move is to put the bag on the seat or floor as everything would fall out and be all over the place. Definitely need a good co-pilot for that.
Also, as a mom, I'd really love to see something healthier for the kiddos. Like apple slices or yogurt or carrots or something. I know most people wouldn't care at a fast food place but I usually try to at least make sure my kids are getting something good for them with each meal, that's tough to do here.
Overall, this place is great and we will be...
Read moreDon’t waste your money or time. Our first sip of soda in the drive thru was alarming and we knew we were in for a bad meal. A zero sugar water mix packet in a warm bottle of water would taste better than Julie’s soda. It was flat and bland, a theme that carried to the food. We exchanged our sodas for a different kind - still gross. We gave up at that point. Fries were mushy and bland. The chicken fingers were pretty bad. They had some gross chewy parts that I had to spit in a napkin. I could get better at a kid’s baseball game concession stand. I know this place is new, but that’s not an excuse for bad food and drinks. Staff was very nice, but that’s where the good experience ended. EDIT: After further sleuthing, I see they stole at least one of Arby’s product pictures for their website!! Also took pictures from Subway and Burger King. Their pictures aren’t even of their own food. They claim it’s a tentative layout….more like false advertising. And the spelling mistakes/grammar/attitude from the owner in their response to reviews? I wouldn’t go within 10 miles of this restaurant. This place is embarrassing and they’re going to get...
