Confused is my best response to the service.
During Coffee & Cars ordered two meat & cheese breakfast sandwiches with drinks. Cashier understood we wanted ham & sausage on each sandwich. I didn’t take a receipt.
My latte was perfect, props on that.
Name called for the food. Reached to take the bag, only for the guy to turn away and set it where the food is normally picked up. Okay, cool, I didn’t know that’s where pickup was and no communication was made. Not a biggie, I walked around their displays to get the bag and head outside.
We got two sandwiches: One was egg, cheese, and sausage. The other egg, cheese, and ham.
We wanted meat & cheese, no egg—it was not rang in as egg, cheese, and meat. That’s a different sandwich and a different price according to their board.
I ask if they can pull up the order to see if I’d paid for the correct thing. If I paid for the food I have, I’ll take it, no worries. But if I paid for extra meat, I want the right sandwiches. Cashier goes to the guy and asks him to check, he comes over and says if I ordered extra meat that I’d be charged for the extra meat and I’d have the extra meat. The paper didn’t say that, so he didn’t make that. He has one with ham, one with sausage. Was I shown the receipt? Nope. Explanation was that it was rang in wrong and I got what I paid for.
Later, I found the receipt in my emails. Two meat and cheese sandwiches, with ham and sausage. No egg. And no, they’re not two separate sandwich orders. Cashier was thrown under the bus for a system that did not charge extra for the extra meat, and a sandwich maker who incorrectly read the order.
Later, I was given a free drink because it had been made incorrectly for another customer, which was the cherry on top of the morning. Wrong sandwiches that should’ve been more than I paid for them, while being talked down to when asking. And a free drink because they used cow milk instead of almond milk on someone with a lactose...
Read moreSo disappointing!! I always try to support local businesses over large corporations but this time I wish I had gone to Starbuck’s instead! They have a very awkward setup- a huge room with uncomfortable/ outdated seating. I have to admit, they have a decent website as that’s what swayed me to going in the first place. It seems like they have really yummy fresh food on the web- but when you go there it all looks pretty questionable… A lot of it looks like it’s been there for a long time, and the expensive paninis were terrible!! My friend got a wrap sandwich that was sloppily made and not being sure about the menu I ordered a grilled cheese Panini. The bread tasted off and I believe she just put velveeta in between the bread and toasted it…? I could make food that looks like that at home, I don’t expect that kind of quality when you pay $12 for a coffee and sandwich! The woman who was working when we were in there (the owner?) was VERY RUDE! My friend and I were very polite, always saying “please” and “thank you”- I don’t think she even looked at us once, only spoke to us to give us our totals, didn’t even say anything let alone “you’re welcome” when she dropped the food off at our table… Definitely not going back there...
Read moreLet me start by saying that the menu looks impressive. We are camping so I planned to sit in my truck with our dog while the rest of family ate. I ran in to place my to go order just after my kids were seated and the kids were yelled at by the older lady because the 4th seat was empty at their table and I told her that my husband would be in soon that he was with our dog and I wanted to place my order to go and she said that they only do to go orders for emergency reasons. After explaining the situation she agreed to do the to go order but my husband had to place it. When I got the food the egg was runny so I ran it back in and she handed it back to me in 2 minutes on a paper plate with my used silverware and said here, it's fixed. It was still not cooked well. I assume that she threw it in the microwave. Don't waste your money ($100 bill), it...
