I was really looking forward to going to a different restaurant and found out that it is no longer there or changed ownership. So I decided to try La Marsa. Overall I thought the food was good. We got hummus for an appetizer and I thought while not the best I have ever had it was very good. The pita bread that it came with was outstanding. My wife could eat just the bread and hummus for a meal. My wife ordered Falafel and it was good but not great. There was good flavor but just felt more fried than I would personally like. I shared a person for two meal with my daughter and it really was food for 4. While it is impressive to see that much food I would prefer less food and better quality. The rice was a little hard but still ok to eat. The meat all around was just ok. The chicken was probably my least favorite but overall I was disappointed with the meat. The service was pretty good and overall I was satisfied with the place I just wouldn’t put it up against some of the better Mediterranean food that I have had. I gave a 4* mainly because of the hummus and bread. If you want decent Mediterranean food and a lot of it I would recommend this place.

I’m a huge laMarsa fan. Normally getting carry out from the Farmington location and dine in at Brighton. So when I heard it was opening in SL I was thrilled. I placed a large online carry out order. When I arrived to pick up I was told a dessert I had ordered wasn’t available would I accept a different one. Sure no problem since I had already payed for everything. I tip cash to the carry out person so that’s not a factor here. They tied up the bags handed them to me. I get to unpacking and the salad containers are dripping, there’s dressing in the bottom of 2 bags. 1 of the salad orders was wrong, 1 sandwich is not in the bag and of course the dessert was not put in the bag either. And the food doesn’t taste like the other locations. Very disappointed with my first visit, and the online order considering the amount $147.00. Definitely won’t be back to this location.

Tonight I went with a friend and ordered the Vegetarian Platter. Both waiters just kept bringing one plate of food out after another. We had so many delicious dishes on our table that we barely had room for our dinner plate! And the food was absolutely amazing!! Plus we took at least another couple of meals in leftovers home with us.

I ordered spinach pies. They put them on a bed of lettuce. They were soggy bottoms, which is totally gross. Their fatoosh salad was a greasy mess. And somewhere there is chunks of raw onion I mean like he didn’t even bother to cut it hardly yuck The chicken Shawarma sandwich was the size of a pencil not even close. I would never order from them again I’m used to food Dearborn food and this not even close 🥲 to be honest, I’ve learned enough from people I’ve worked with. I can make better than this and that’s why I tried to order from them. I thought wow a relaxing evening don’t have to cook ordered this and it wasn’t super expensive but not cheap and it was very disappointing. I am sorry. several hours later, all I can taste is the bra onion that they didn’t even bother to chop up in my pallet. Total waste of money and time don’t order from them. They’re horrible not even close. and what makes me even more mad as I can do better than this it’s not that hard to be quality is just not it. I learned from my friends and this was not good slow down. Take your time...

UPDATE - The manager contacted me, and bent over backwards to make things right. We did try their food again, and it was MUCH better. GREAT responsiveness is a mark of a good restaurant, and they will be addressing their training issues. No one is perfect, but they sure tried to make it so. We will be back!////////////////////////Original post - First time at this La Marsa, and first time I've ever been disappointed at any La Marsa. The tabbouleh looked like it was many days old, and tasted the same. Never EVER have I been given tabbouleh anywhere that didn't seem really fresh. This looked like cooked spinach. Rice was blah (just regular white rice, with some almonds?), far too many raw onions were all over the dish (carry out), lamb chili had an odd vinegar taste, and the garlic sauce was MUCH more bitter than I've had at many other Mediterranean places. On the other hand, the employees were friendly, the lamb was tasty, and the vegetables they grilled were very nice. But I don't think...
