Cute breakfast brunch spot. Jam was good and jarred available to purchase. Menu offered great balance of healthy options and not so healthy options (ie French fries with guacamole). As I was eating I noticed someone ordered the waffles and they looked amazing- esp since they looked like cornmeal waffles and it reminded me of my fav brunch spot back home! Avocado toast was enough to be satisfied but not full. Salmon sandwich was a bit repetitious by the time I got thru half of it. Turkey club was off the chai ! So delicious, you can’t go wrong with a turkey sandwich that had cranberry jam. It reminds me of thanksgiving! Loved it! I got full eating half and saved my other half for later. It was a triple stack! Like a Big Mac! Will be back to try to other yummy items on the menu!
Parking Street parking along the street in front or off to the side. The back parking lot is hidden that we just discovered it during our most recent trip. This whole time we struggled with street parking and never realized that they have a whole dedicated parking lot.
Outdoor dining Seating out front but ALSO they have outdoor dining under a tent in their parking lot. Staff is always cleaning tables so finding a clean one wasn’t a problem. There’s not too many tables but we went around 10am and there was only 1 other party in our area. Limited seating indoors and I would only recommend for parties...
Read moreI wrote a glowing review of Cos and Pi over a year ago, but two subsequent weekday visits proved very disappointing. The waffles were burned, the eggs overcooked, the staff disinterested. Because of our first experience, I have left this at 3 stars. I don't know what happened over the past year, but something did drag down Cos and Pi. (This visit was pre-pandemic)
In fairness, I am leaving my original review, which follows, in the hope it will prove to be accurate once again:
The staff painstakingly constructs every piece of Avocado Toast as a work of art, carefully placing every leaf or edible flower, every bite of cheese so it won't fall off as the plate is carried to your table. Topped off with lemon emulsion, it is delicious. The waffle, although not crisp, is served with real maple syrup, fresh berries, and a generous dollp of fresh creamy butter. It was also delicious. The place is usually crowded. One stands in line to order and pay first, then sits in somewhat tight spaces in an aesthetically lovely cafe with dark gray walls, white subway tiles, with white metal chairs that are a tad on the uncomfortable side. There is also a counter with high white metal stools equally a bit tight. But all in all, highly...
Read moreJust, Wow! I came here accidentally, 20 minutes before they closed (I thought they closed at 3). So after double checking if the kitchen was open, they greeted me with a smile and asked me what I would like to order. I had seen them pop up as a burger recommendation so I figured I'd give them a shot. WOW!!! I ordered the wrong one and was still completely satisfied. I've eaten more burgers than I should have in my life and I dare put this in the top 3 burgers I've ever had. I also travel for a living so I'm not joking when I say I've tested burgers all across the States.... And you should definitely stop by if you're in the area.
I came here for the Cosmo and accidentally ordered the Chopper burger. Sweet Bacon jam Jesus!! This burger was served up on what looked like a brioche bun, a hearty portion of bacon, avocado, bacon jam, cheddar and what might have been a gruyere cheese crisp? With some mixed greens and grilled onions added in the mix. Not only was the presentation amazing, but all the flavors were perfectly balanced. There was not any flavor that overpowered any other. I need to go back for my blue cheese burger but boy am I glad I got on...
