A Visit to Kafana This coffee shop is excellent! If you’re visiting LA by RV, car, or plane, give Kafana a visit. It's located in the perfect spot in quiet little South Pasadena, right above LA and before Pasadena. The shop is right next to a great woodland area called the Arroyo Seco Parkway, so you can take a nice nature hike.
It's also located inside a gym, so you can work, work out, and hang out all at the same time! Both the staff and the customers are very nice, and the vibe is excellent. You can hang out and get tons of work done in the nice, laid-back atmosphere. The decor is spot-on with nice brick and wood elements, and character furniture pieces make you feel right at home. You might even forget you aren't at home!
Open late until 10 p.m., you can relax and enjoy the great window views. With an assortment of workspaces and tables, you can find just the right spot to get inspired. Check it out! Highly recommended by the Urban...

Kafana Coffee Bar is a nice little coffee shop hidden in South Pasadena that share the same lobby with a gym. They serve breakfast, pastries, coffee and tea (hot/cold) drinks. Their coffee bar is centrally positioned that offers a 360 degree view of the lobby. Seats were very comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered an Iced Coffee ($3.27). And it was simple in taste and in appearance but refreshing nonetheless. Service was spot on. Staff was affable and competent. Prices are fair. Offers free wifi and street parking.
What captivating for me was their interior design that reflected that of your own living room with flat screen tv, bookshelves, bar stool, love chair, sofa and a coffee table.
Overall, I had a nice experience and somewhat enjoyed my iced coffee; I really like their chill living room vibe. I still recommend this...

Found this place on Yelp when looking for a nearby coffee shop and am so glad I did!
I parked on the street (not sure if there is a lot).
The employee helping us was really friendly and helpful.
I ordered a latte with almond milk and it was delicious!
Pricing is reasonable (my latte was under $5).
I specifically chose this cafe cause I wanted comfy seating for a good catch up session with a friend. And the chairs here are really comfy and there is even a sofa!
It’s decorated really cozy in here and the fact that it shares facilities with a gym, you wouldn’t have noticed much.
The upstairs isn’t available (i wanted to try sitting there from yelp) anymore.
The bathrooms are sooo nice since it’s shared with the gym. Very modern looking...
