We were thrilled to find this amazing spot for dinner tonight! Eating out when you can’t have gluten is often challenging, but the menu was clearly marked with TONS of gluten free options! And I had zero reactions to any of the food. Everything was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly! Typically, we find Asian cuisine to be overly salty, with barely any veggies except for a few mushed and gross pieces of broccoli! These dishes were loaded with plenty of fresh and perfectly cooked veggies plus tons of chicken, beef, and shrimp. The sauces were perfect and not overpowering. Portions were generous too! Cocktails were tasty! Our server was absolutely a delight! She was kind and attentive despite juggling multiple tables and take out orders! Kept checking in with us and was super sweet! And this might be a small thing to some, but the music was just loud enough to hear in the background, as it should be, rather than drowning out our conversation. So 5 stars for ambiance too! And did I mention it was also spotless? All in all, this is absolutely our new favorite South Portland restaurant and honestly, our new favorite for Asian cuisine in all of New England! Thank you, Pattaya Kitchen!!! Don’t...

Went in never trying Thai food before and was reluctant at first as I didn't seem that interested. But being the closest restaurant opened for easter, I went in and noticed how clean the establishment was. The man taking my order was professional, kept the work areas clean, and was respectful. Decided to order an appetizer and entree. I ordered the Thai dumplings, where the filling was very flavorful and juicy. Went very well with the sauce that was included on the side. For an entree I ordered the pad Thai, and all I can say was how taken aback I was by the portion. For only 15 dollars it definitely sent me into a food coma, a steal in the south Portland area! Flavor was sour, sweet, salty, nutty, and spicy! Noodles were perfectly cooked too. For my first time trying it, I was amazed. The waiter got me some extra chili sauce on the side so points for service there since i didn't have to ask. Amazing quality of the food, establishment was clean, service was quick. I will absolutely be coming back and you should give it a try if you haven't! A new...

Other places don't do what Pattaya's Kitchen does.

I've had Thai food all over Maine, Thai food is good for my food intolerances (dairy, gluten)

I don't know how they do it, Many places cook it all together and top it with spices/seasoning without mixing it around. Not here, everything seems slow cooked and made to perfection. I'm pretty critical too. Pattaya's Kitchen continuously knocks it out of the park.

Very relaxed in there, staff is super nice! Great environment!

Edit: Just finished my lunch, Pad See Ew with Beef and Double Veggie.

Take everything I said and multiply it by 10x. I'm totally serious. If you're weary of trying Thai food for the first time, go here.

12/6/2023 Update:

Still amazing. I worked my way up from Level 3 spicy to Level 10 spicy and they all were so so good. 7, 9, 10 had different flavor experiences too, so it'll be nice to jump around.

Very excited about this place! Favorite by-far. Don't know if it's just me, but I've taken family and friends here and they love it also.

You gotta try if...
