I WENT here because it is the only UPS branch with average of 3-4 stars around the area, and thought, yep, they might actually be able to help me ship stuff to our office out of state using their Pack & Ship service. Everytime I called them to ask for updates, they kept saying, they will be shipping them as soon as their supplies to pack them arrive, like bubblewraps, and that they would call at end of day. I WAS THE ONE WHO CALLED THEM EVERYDAY SINCE THEN AT END OF DAY! They had no decency to update me in their own accord, at least tell me what's going on and why my office stuff had not been shipped as of yet. I called them Thursday, Friday, Monday, and all three times, I gave them a chance to call me at least to tell me any updates, END OF DAY. And then TUE, I had enough, went there and got my stuff back. THEY DID NOT EVEN START DOING ANYTHING!!!! NONE OF THE STUFF I BROUGHT THEM, TWO BOXES, NONE HAS BEEN WRAPPED! They gladly gave them back to me, no questions asked, on my way drive home, that was the first time, their "manager" called me (I did not answer, but he left a voicemail) to ask what the issue is, that they were just waiting for their bubble wraps, which were to arrive that afternoon, and would gladly ship them if I go and return my stuff back. NOPE! I made up my mind. And my company has arranged a courier via FEDEX instead. I understand there are things that cannot be avoided, but please, do better, and communicate better. I was not even irate, I was nice and respectful in all calls and transactions I made with them, but I felt disregarded - an insignificant customer. I still wish all UPS workers good health and peace, I really hope...
Read moreUPS stores get terrible reviews in general. But some of them stand out above others. The Mill Creek UPS Store on 50 Market Street in South Portland, Maine, is one of these standouts. I was always happy with their service for the occasional shipment or photocopy job when I lived in the South Portland area. That was before I moved overseas in November 2018. Six months later I needed to have a grandfather clock shipped from Maine to the Netherlands. Taige reassured me that he would personally make a custom crate for the clock, and that it should arrive undamaged. And he did, and it did! Every space in the crate was filled with one of a variety of packing materials. Even the glass was covered with a special blue tape to prevent it from cracking. Very impressive! However, here's a warning for anyone wishing to do international shipping: Count on a delay getting your package through customs--something handled a bit clumsily by always-friendly UPS contractors in Europe. (BTW: You will likely need to pay customs for any gift or purchase, but not for your possessions that you ship to yourself.) But such overseas hassles have nothing to do with the Mill Creek UPS Store. Everything done at their end was...
Read moreThis goes to this store because South Portland is where the tracking number goes to. Driver never checked if we were home, just left the stickers on the outside door.
We went to the Portland store twice and the South Portland store once over two days trying to find the package, neither store knew where the package was. Went onto the UPS website to change the delivery options, which is what I was advised to do by this store, and it wouldn't let me because they are returning to sender. But they tried to deliver it for the final attempt only 30 minutes ago. Again, didn't check if we were home.
Serious waste of resources part of UPS when the driver could have just knocked.
I also tried sending an email to UPS to fix this, but can't because the tracking number is no...
