South Portland House Of Pizza — Restaurant in South Portland

This was my first time ordering from this shop. I was told that due to an issue state wide with the internet and phone lines that they can only accept cash that night. I was fine with that so I placed my order and asked if I can adjust it a but. The guy on the phone was more than happy to accommodate my order! I was told 20 minutes so I was able to do a few things. I picked up my order 45 min later. I walked in to a very clean shop. They three guys behind the counter looked and greeted me. One asked my name and I told it. He had my order for me. He then stated that it was 5 dollars off so I asked why. He said it's because of my name and laughed. That made me laugh as well. He stated that it's 5 dollars off on Monday. Due to the friendly attitude I left a good tip and walked out. After settling in at home I opened the pizza to find it looked amazing! AND...it is beyond delicious! It’s laundry day and this place happened to be the closest place to get a cheese steak.

I REGRET NOTHING!!!

Everything ordered was positively perfectly prepared. I kid you not. Some of the best wings I’ve had in years; super crispy and crunchy exterior with a perfectly moist cooked inside, French fries were to die for; thick cut crispy AF. The calzone was perfection, I can tell their pizza dough is on point and I can’t wait to come back for a pie.

Cheesesteak? TENDER. JUICY. FLAVOURFUL. AND PACKED TO THE BRIM OF THAT BUN.

NO REGRETS!!! Except maybe that I didn’t take pictures before digging in.

Been going here all my life. Everything has been fine.

However, please stop guilt tripping me into tipping the staff. You do it out loud so everyone can hear. Thus making me seem like a jerk for saying no.

Your prices are already too high. $17 for a small 1 topping pizza. At that price the responsibility having paying your staff for doing their jobs does not fall on your customers.

If people want to tip, then godspeed them. But, let them do it on their own accord.

This is a major turn off for me and members of my family. You have/will lose...
