While driving through South San Francisco this morning I happen to glance at a sign….”Cocina Milonga Argentinian Empanadas”. I parked on the street and made my way into the store, I was greeted immediately with a a big smile by a gentleman behind the service area, I took a look at the menu on the wall and ordered four Empanadas. One Ham and Cheese with Black Forest Ham and Mozzarella Cheese, my second choice was the Chorizo Empanadas with Argentinian Style Chorizo, Provolone Cheese, served with Chimichurri, I also ordered the Fugazzeta filled with Roasted Onions, White Cheddar and Mozzarella Cheese Seasoned with Oregano, and my last choice had to be the Beef Empanada with Ground Beef, Onions Olives, Hard Boiled Egg and Raisins. I had to make room for one of their dessert pastries and ordered the Pastel de Manzana, puff pastry filled with an Apple and Coconut filling. The Mate Cocido had to be ordered to compliment my order from the Barista. I enjoyed the Baked Artisan empanadas (known as turn overs in English) and finished every morsel. During my conversation with the owner he mentioned that they also service the Chase Center at the Portal 30 Pepsi Club. The place was spotless and had a nice view from the window seats with a nice ambiance listening to Argentinian music facing the Alina way. The location is tuck away in the opposite corner across the street from See’s Candies.

This place is an absolute GEM in South San Francisco! With over 10 delicious flavors to choose from, there’s something for everyone: meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans alike. Their pastries are divine, and the coffee is the ideal pairing for a quick breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up. The prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality and portion sizes. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or taking a box to share (trust me, you’ll want to!). 10/10 would recommend! 🥟💛

YUMMMMM Argentina empanadas, local coffee and ingredients, dulce de leche cookies and other great finds for your tastebuds. And everything is made right in the store! What a gem and super adorable storefront! Raul, the owner, was so sweet and hospitable walking me through their menu and everything they sold. You should even ask about the nitro brew, keffer water and kombucha too! Pay them a visit you won't be disappointed. (PS they have vegetarian/vegan options too!!!

Wow, 11/10 experience. My SIL, her fiancé, my husband, and I came here for the first time and had the best experience ever. First off the woman working the front was super friendly, helpful, and also went out of her way to help an elderly woman come inside the store. Then the owner (assuming he is the owner), was super friendly, also helpful, and went out of his way to open the blinds for us, talk to us for a bit explaining which pieces are which, and provided great service for us. Super hospitable. This is a business we will return every time my husband n I come back into town when we’re visiting my SIL and her fiancé. Thank you guys for the great experience you provided because it felt good to eat in there, and for checking on us. This was our first empanada place in this area and it’ll be hard to measure up after this place, lol!! 🤤 Ps we got a large order passing $100 that was beef, chicken, chorizo, and some roasted vegetable...

It's always the hidden spots. The menu has many to choose from, so I'll throw out what I thought was really good. I usually choose meat over veggies but was asked to try a veggie option. Glad she threw that out bc the mushroom and fugazetta we're a real treat. The beef was something I could've made at home, however the chicken was also delicious. I guess it's safe to say the veggies are their specialty here. They also have tea, biscuits and a chimichurri sauce that I missed out on. Will have to...
