Oscar's All American Grill — Restaurant in South Windsor

This was our first visit to Oscar's, and decided to give it a try as we drove by and the hungry feeling struck us. Very clean inside, with nice tables and chairs, and spacious booths also. We were greeted immediately by a young lady with a big smile and great personality, who would also be our server. I regret not getting her name but the receipt listed cashier ALEX.

After looking over the sizable dinner menu, we made our selections. My wife picked Maryland Crab Cakes (2) with Mashed Potato and gravy and green beans with Ginger Ale to drink.

I chose boneless grilled Pork Chops (2) with Mashed Potato/gravy/with 2 dinner rolls, and green beans. I had unsweetened iced tea to drink. As we sipped our drinks and chatted about the bargains we found on our shopping expedition, I didn't keep an eye on the time, but we had no rush to go home, so it may have been a little while before our food arrived. Since the meals we ordered needed to be properly prepared, I would'nt expect them in 5 or 10 minutes as a fast food joint.

The dishes, as the photo shows, were done perfectly, and were delicious. The size of the portions was larger than we expected, and of course we asked for the extra large box to take the remainders home. We will not be cooking tomorrow, and that's for certain.

We enjoyed our first visit to Oscar's and I know that it won't be our last. I suggest, if you're in the area, give this place a try, and I hope you...

Went in by myself for a quick breakfast. Was greeted but with very little enthusiasm. My waitress came over and was polite but was not very welcoming. I got the sampler which is another word for a big breakfast that came with eggs bacon toast etc etc. the food came extremely fast but it was to it's detriment.

I was supposed to get two pieces of bacon but only got one. Didn't really matter because the bacon was unflavorful anyways. I got my eggs scrambled and we're cooked fine but also no flavor. The home fries were tasteless and were hard. And lastly the pancakes. These pancakes were some of the toughest pancakes to eat as they were almost hard and had absolutely no color and I ultimately couldn't even finish them. You can just tell the food wasn't made with any love or care.

I'm not one to be picky as I have a very forgiving palette but this food was just not it. And for $20 I was expecting way better. Won't be returning based off...

I need to say how amazing this place is! Places like this are very few and far between these days. They really make you feel like family, and the food and drinks were amazing! I went there for lunch with my husband and two kids. We got the chicken quesadilla, potato skins, bang bang chicken wrap, and parmesan roll. Their fries dipped in the bang bang sauce, were soooooo yummy! Our waiter was very attentive and did a great job giving suggestions. We never felt rushed and he was great at checking back to make sure that we didn't need anything else. To finish off, the four of us all shared the deep fried oreos. It was a perfect ending to a great lunch! Heat quality food at very reasonable prices....
