Living close by a relative recommended the outdoor dining. We arrived to sit outside, and it was a bit cold so we came inside. Having lost loved ones to COVID and having worked in the Public Health Industry for decades, I could not wait to get out. The manager was wearing a mask below his chin on both sides of the bar. At one point they were three deep at the bar without masks. I went outside to have a cigarette, and when the manager was outside, I mentioned it's really laxed here considering the rest of the world is facing a pandemic. He assured me it would be handled, yet as we spoke 3 people walked in passing him with no masks on. We stayed to finish dinner having been fully vaccinated, but it became too uncomfortable and people were standing in front of our tables talking to each other with no masks. The food was extremely salty, the waitress was nice, but the complete disregard for anyone's health and the current pandemic forced us out of the place early. If the management showed so little effort to enforce public health restrictions that could get them closed down which were in plain site, what were they taking short cuts with in the back where the food...

Back Nine Tavern is located at the Southington Country Club next to a scenic golf course. There is a main bar room and a good sized meeting room with its own small bar. A nice array of food was brought out from the kitchen for a gathering of around sixty held here mid-April.

Dishes included bruschetta, chicken wings, stuffed mushrooms, mini-meatballs, jalapeno poppers and coconut shrimp. The bruschetta was better than most since the grilled baguette slices were seasoned. The stuffed mushrooms were large with a flavorful sausage stuffing and the fried jalapeno poppers had the right balance of heat with melted cheese in each bite. A nice sized shrimp was used for the coconut shrimp and they weren't too sweet. The chicken wings were on the small side and dry. Drinks from the bar had a good pour.

There was a lot of food left at the end of the evening, so guests were welcome to bring some home. If in the area, this is a place worth considering for an event. Management is very customer oriented...

Had dinner the other night and my server gina put in all my food to go when i asked that she just put in some wings to go before i leave. A different person brought my food out all in to go packaging and i had to ask that it be plated and my wings were out with our entrees. After several minutes my plated food had arrived and no sign of gina. I then had to go get my own condiments because she was nowhere to be found. After we were done eating gina asks how we were doing and when i addressed the condiment situation she said that most people dont need them so she would only bring them if asked yet she was nowhere to be found until check time. Frustrating experience and waitress shrugged it off as if...

Indoor and outdoor dining on the beautiful setting of a golf course. Open to the public. Everything is priced a dollar or two more than expected but that is to be expected ; ) If it tastes great then it's worth it. Ours tasted great! With a comfortable yet classy atmosphere. There were several TVs in the large bar area to catch your favorite game. We ordered a small cheese pizza ($15) and a French Dip with fries ($15). Surprisingly Perfect crisp crust and delicious au jus. During games, there is beer specials. Several varieties on tap and pitcher specials during games. The staff is very attentive even when it started to get busy. Ample parking and easy location.

I’m not sure how I feel about Back Nine yet. I might try them again soon we’ll see.. The wings and nachos are decent. We tried take away and they willingly separated the ingredients so things weren’t soggy, gross and melded together. I’m not sure where the idea came from but a pizza to-go should not be in a paper.. bag? I don’t know it was weird and ruined the pizza. I don’t think this is a good decision at all. I found the pizza very greasy and bland but I think a HOT pizza would have made a little bit of difference. I don’t recommend getting that to-go AT ALL.
