Eat and drink at this Local Restaurant tonight!! Please, go somewhere you've never been. My wife and I are Hospitality Professionals from Toronto, Ontario. When travelling, we prefer to stay off the beaten path. The Headkeeper has now been added to our list of great finds. They provide a great patio bar and seating. After a friendly greeting amd options, we chose to sit inside. Our server, Sarah, was totally on point. Based on our tastes, she assisted in our selections of some 600 beers. Not a beer lover...Try a Jameson Orange cocktail, Dark n Stormy, or other 😉 The food was top notch. Flash Fried Calamari, Sautéed Forest Mushrooms, French Onion Crostini, and Cauliflower. Portions can work for a table of 4. Can't go wrong with this offering and five drinks for under $100!! Take the time to get to know Sarah, she may even offer her recommendations on some other cool local spots. We are now looking forward to exploring these potential gems over the next few days!! Thanks for your warm welcome and in starting us off on the right foot (or in the right cups)😋🍻

Solid Choice ! We had a great first visit! The atmosphere was enjoyable and the location is convenient, with a spacious parking lot reserved for patrons, a big plus given it’s at a busy intersection. Our server, Abbey, really made the experience special. She was attentive, friendly, and offered helpful suggestions and honest opinions on the menu, which we appreciated since it was our first time there. The tapas-style dishes were delicious. We started with the chicken bacon ranch flatbread, then tried the Lo Mein bowl and the Mahi Mahi, each one was flavorful and well-prepared. The restaurant itself is clean and has a fresh, welcoming vibe. The large outdoor seating area with its own bar is perfect for enjoying some sunshine and fresh air. They open early at 3 p.m., which is great if you’re looking for a late lunch or an early dinner. Definitely worth a visit!

I was shocked to find out this place was still here. I haven't been here in at least 10 years. It is every bit as good as I remember. It's tapas style. Everything is a la carte. So if you're dining alone, it's on the pricey side. If there's two or three of you it's closer to average. The food is good. The lamb Porterhouse has been my least favorite dish so far. Not that it's bad, but it has so much sauce or gravy on it that it just tastes like the gravy. Mushrooms are really good. I was amazed with gumbo! By far the best gumbo I've had since I was in Baton Rouge, and better than some of the gumbo I've had in Baton Rouge. What a wonderful surprise. The service was slightly above average. Definitely a place that should be on your list of spots to try.

First time to a tapas restaurant and I have to say, I am hooked...

I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time, finally, for my birthday weekend, I got to - and boy, was I happy about it. Located off the beaten path in Greensburg, PA, if you're not looking for it you might miss it. It's location is a non-descript building with only a few windows and an outdoor patio (quite sizeable) that was completely unused at the time because of rain. The main entrance is also non-descript, and from the outside it appears to be a much fancier place than it actually is, but once you enter you notice you're in a bar setting that is relaxed and relatively welcoming.

As stated earlier it's tapas - which as I understand it, is a menu full of appetizers. Though the items are appetizers, the portions are a bit more than that and the food is presented as good as any fancy place I've been too. So, for food (or appetizers) my wife and I shared their calamari, whose the sweet chili Thai sauce was amazing; the scallops, three massive scallops in a dragon fruit sauce; and the shrimp bowl with noodles - all of it was super good. I ordered their side salad which was a large salad consisting of spring mix greens, and all the other good fixings you would expect. My wife ordered a side of their rosemary potatoes which were delicious as well. For dessert, she had their crème brulee, while I had their American Pop cheese cake (a cheesecake harking to those cold red, white, and blue pops you get from the ice cream truck.) My wife declared it was the best crème brulee she's ever had, and she is picky about that stuff.

They have a massive selection of beers, it was honestly difficult to choose one, but choose I did and I'll be happy to come back and try some more. Their selection had some choices I had not seen in other area stores, so that was a plus in my book.

Service was exceptional, friendly, and chatty - just like I like 'em. She was patient as it was our first time, and she offered suggestions and tips for us to consider - super helpful and we were thankful for it.

As far as the place itself - it is definitely unique to the area. I am not sure there is anything like it nearby, and come to think of it, nothing like it where...

After spending some time at the casino my girlfriend and I decided to go to dinner. It was rather late but we made our way into Greensburg. We stopped at several places but all the kitchens were closed. My girlfriend had heard of the Headkeeper so we thought we would at least attempt to get dinner. As chance would have it the kitchen was opened. We ordered the calamari, the tacos, and the mozzarella spread with bread. This is a tapas style eatery and all the dishes are meant to be shared. Our waitress was Sara and she was phenomenal. She was witty and attentive and knew the menu quite well. Our food was brought to the table within minutes and I was amazed. While Greensburg may not be considered a "foodie" destination, I would suggest you stop by the Headkeeper. The calamari was simply an experience in and of itself and the mix of flavors was intoxicating. Although that might have been from the wheat beer as well, but whatever the case there was a sense of euphoria in every flavorful bite. The ample amount of fresh mozzarella and the sizable pieces of bread was more of a main course and very filling. The seasoned tomatoes that served as a garnish for this dish added to the sophisticated taste of the dish. The tacos were a bit more than pedestrian, served with shredded turkey, but were a bit lacking compared to other items on the menu. But dining at an outside table with a candle lighting your dining experience and having someone you care about sharing food with you in a fantastic space made up for anything that may be lacking at the Headkeeper. Again, I urge you to try the Headkeeper. This is real dining experience that was more than reasonably priced. The various beers match well with your chores of food. Our waitress, Sara, even suggested what would pair the best. Stay at home. Instead of going to Pittsburgh how many culinary experience right here in Greensburg. You will not regret it. The Headkeeper's food was so incredible and well presented I even forgot about losing a hundred bucks at that...

We've been coming here since it was just a parking lot where the patio now sits. I understand these are some hard times that require different rules. I called 75 times last week and got a reservation because we were excited to come back and support this business. Tonight, my family and I were out with a group cycling prior to showing up to dine on the patio. I assume no one in our group knew we should have a reservation after 8pm on a Thursday. By the time my family (3 of us) were the last to show up to join our group who were split amongst 3 tables, the manager, Mike, blamed us for having no where to seat us. My husband, son, and myself all wore masks until we arrived at the table some of our friends were seated at. The manager came flying up on us with a box of masks after my husband removed his while standing at our friends' table. We couldn't figure out where we might be able to sit and were thinking we'd just try another time before the manager, Mike, said, "I don't know what you expect me to do. I can't just seat 14 people who walk in here when it's reservation only." Again, I understand. We spontaneously showed up on a nice summer night when the patio didn't seem full beyond 8pm. We've also been patrons for many years and a better way to phrase this would be, "It's good to see you guys back so soon! Thanks for stopping by. Unfortunately, we can't accommodate any (more) walk-ins this evening since we are still reservation only. I'd love to get you in another night and I hope you'll come back. Thanks for choosing us and we're excited to be this busy again." Why is this hard? I couldn't care less that we didn't get seated; we don't come here for the food if you get what I'm saying. I care more that we weren't treated respectfully after supporting them all these years. People should be thankful they have repeat customers and should be especially happy that people choose...
