China King — Restaurant in Sparks

Our new favorite Chinese restaurant. Exactly what we were looking for. China King has a good sized menu with all of the selections you expect, and ample portions on the plate. We got the Sesame Chicken, and Almond Chicken entrees. The egg drop soup was spot on. Not over-salted, thick, but not gelatenous. The egg roll was fresh, crispy, and tasty. The Pork Chow Mein was perfectly cooked, with nice chunks of bbq pork sprinkled throughout. The Pork Fried Rice was just the right texture, again with nice chunks of bbq pork all through. The Sesame Chicken was nicely bite sized, not overly breaded, golden colored, with a delightful sauce, and just a sprinkle of sesame seeds, instead of crusted over with seeds. The Almond Chicken also had a nice sauce, (though my wife kept "sampling" my Sesame sauce). Last couple small but important things. The tea was just right and not scalding hot. The ice water was thankfully filtered. We all know that sometimes we have a bit too much chemical taste in our water and ice in this area. We appreciate a restaurant that maintains good filtering. Finally, our server was very gracious to us first timers, as well as some regulars who sat nearby. In summary, China King is everything you want in your go-to local. Very Disappointing Experience – Won’t Be Returning

I called China King and ordered a combination plate. But when my husband went to pick it up, they tried to give him an à la carte order instead, one fried rice, one vegetable delight, and one General chicken. That’s a huge portion, and not what I wanted at all. I specifically asked for a combination plate because I can’t finish that much food, and I like having everything in one balanced meal.

When my husband explained the issue, the lady started getting upset and told him to just pick one à la carte item. That’s not a solution. I don’t want just fried rice with no meat or veggies, that’s not what I ordered.

They were very unprofessional, rude, and not willing to fix their mistake. It was a frustrating and confusing experience. I told my husband to just leave and get food somewhere else. Definitely won’t be ordering from...

I had the best meal I have ever had here! I love Chinese food and I am pretty forgiving when things are not perfect, but that was not an issue at all here! Perfection! It was a cold day so we got wor wonton soup. It is the best most loaded wor wonton soup I've ever had! It was so delicious I wanted to order another one just to take home. I ordered the potstickers too because I have been here before and knew they were great. They seemed especially stuffed with goodness today. They are amazing. And then we ordered Shrimp Chow Mein for the first time. OH MY GOD! Amazing! How have I lived this long without this dish in my life? The shrimp were the epitome of shrimp ALL shrimp should taste like these shrimp. And I don't know what sauce was used in that dish but it was phenomenal! It was so subtle and not overwhelming in flavor but tasted SO good!...
