Poke King - Pyramid — Restaurant in Sparks

Over the years, I have ordered from this location in the past and the food was fresh when dining in. Recently, I have ordered delivery from them 3 times in the past month. The first two times I got diarrhea (the food literally went right thru my system within 30 minutes...sorry for graphic description). I suspected that maybe for the delivery orders they might leave the food sitting in the bag on the counter un-refrigerated waiting for the delivery driver to pick it up (like you see at a lot of restaurants )and it sits too long and that this might be the reason the fish was spoiling. Today I wanted poke again and this location is closest to my house so I thought that if I ordered it within the shortest delivery time (the app said 20 minutes for delivery) the fish might be fresher and I might be able to digest the raw fish this time so I took a chance and ordered poke for delivery within 20 minutes. Approximately 40 minutes later I was advised the order was running late and that it would be another 30 to 45 minutes. I didn't want to run the risk of getting sick again and cancelled the order. And a wait of 1 hour 15 minutes when the estimate was 20 minutes originally when I placed the order is ridiculous. Incredibly, after I cancelled the order because the restaurant didn't hold up to their end of the bargain, the restaurant wouldn't refund my money. Don't order delivery from this store and...

Stopped in for lunch, had never been there. OMG the choices! The people working were all masked and gloved up. Were very helpful in explaining how it all works. 5 of us on our party, everyone loved it! The were at least 6 protein choices, 9 topping choices and 6 base choices. I felt like I had a little of each! I thought they were going to load up on the base and maybe give us less of the proteins and toppings, but no, everything was portioned out equally from scoops. I had the salmon, tuna and octopus as my proteins and went nuts on the toppings adding in mango, green onions, salmon roe, seaweed salad, furikake, and some others I can't remember. Lol Oh yeah, you can choose between regular and large sized bowls. We all chose the regular, and trust me, there's more than enough food in the regular. A large would be great to split between 2 people as long as you both want the same things. A definite plus here and will be coming...

I didn't take a picture because I was too busy cleaning up the sauce mess. thank God I asked for extra napkins. The girl gave me one skimpy napkin and the box isn't liquid sealed so they put it a cute little black bag and I carried it out and when I got to my destination just four blocks away, the sauce had leaked down the edges of the box and got all inside the bag so all the paper for my Chopsticks an my napkins were ruined for lunch. I made a purposeful request to ask for more napkins when I saw she only had given me one. the food was good but the service was not special. The portions size was extremely small for the $20.30. I paid for a large. Not likely to go there again. parking is very difficult. Too small of a space and limited Access. usually I don't give this critical of a review but I was upset that it had leaked everywhere. Thank God it didn't get...
