Sparta Pub — Restaurant in Sparta Township

Well as bartenders ourselves, we were out of town and thought this would be a great place to stop in and grab a bite. We had a few kids with us. Only one bartender doing the whole thing, including cooking. When it came time to order we were told we could not order salads, they were out of lettuce, tried to order burgers, told they ran out of meat the night before. At this point I can e to a conclusion the bartender didn't want to make anything. So fried food only was our option. Wings and fries. Was highly disappointed. When it came time to pay our bill the bartender TELLS us it's going to be $79.75. That price didn't add up, we asked to see the bill and were told he's too busy. So we pay and leave. We also left a $25 tip as well. He goes to the register and whips out his phone doing math. Red flag!!! We get home, look up prices and our bill should not have been over $52!! Very shistey worker. We will not be back. Very disappointed with the whole food situation as well!!! This was Sunday 6/8/2025...

There's only two girls that I will actually come in and see. The others if I order something it's under cooked or I just never receive my food. Drinks I have to be careful who's working or I pay 7.50 for juice. You have to make sure you know which men the bartenders (not all of them but a good amount) put claims on because if you don't then you ordering something there or trying to maintain your job there get met with threats of getting physically assaulted or you won't get a thing unless you send the person they put claim on to get you drinks. The cook brings way too much drama into the pub while no one will correct her. If this wasn't a whole ordeal I would gladly continue to go there. But for now I will gladly sit in my backyard and drink with a good amount of the pub goers in my back yard as well. BYOB. How much did you...

Ordered 3 appetizers, it was ok. The fries n dip states on the menu that you get a “heaping load” but unfortunately it was a single serving size. The dips were really good though and the fries were crispy! For my chips and salsa the takeout portion is way too small. A tiny cup of salsa came with it, fit on 5 chips! Then I got the bar cheese with pretzels, super good but I thought it came with soft pretzels not store bought pretzels.. seems like they need to update their menu and be more specific. When I went inside to ask for more salsa and fries the lady was pretty rude about it saying “we don’t do this for anybody” then stated “the cook works for tips”. Being this is my first time here, not sure if I’ll come back due to that...
