After a long day at the beach our family decided on Subway in Sparta for take out on our way home. At the drive up the lady taking our order asked what I wanted. I ordered the first sub. After a very long pause...she came back on the speaker and asked "is there anything else you would like to add?" I said yes we will have a total of 4 subs on the order. 3 more to go. She hollared "3? Really 3 more? You've got to be kidding me. Ma'am you are going to need to come into the building and finish your order at the counter. This will be way too confusing and it will get really messed up trying to make all these subs." I went into the building told her to just give me the 1 sub that's all I need. She never made eye contact and sarcastically said "have a nice day." I had to bite my tongue because she should have been the one being wished to have a nice day because obviously she wasnt and was making sure nobody else was either. For a $15 dollar order, she missed out on a total of $60. After I got home and calmed down I decided to call Subway Sparta and asked for the manager. Not the in -store manager but the manager that was the next level up. A gentleman provided a telephone number that I could call. When I called this experience was worse yet and this is the text I got after a very short game of who is this and what do you want? "Ive been out of work for 5 hours. I was eating dinner with my family and it's illegal for my employees to give you my personal phone number. Dont harass me. We can do this the regular way Which isnt calling me at dinner time." I will never go back there again and wouldn't recommend that anyone else go there either. I didn't see any minimum sub order signage outside. I think if they want to keep what business they have they better work on better customer service and greatly improve...
Read moreWhen you place an order to a restaurant, whether it be a sit-down place or fast food, you don't expect just quality food, you expect quality service as well. I am pleasantly surprised to say I have been served the greatest customer service at this particular location. I ordered a "#6 The Boss" with double meat and left a message wondering how they were going to fit everything, and I asked if they could put any extra meatballs into a container. The staff was very friendly, and my order was handed to me only moments after reaching the window. When I got home, I noticed there was a handwritten message on the wrapper letting me know they did indeed fit everything into the sandwich. When I opened the wrapper, there was a second surprise waiting for me. Attached was a bag with a small cup with one meatball, with a smiley face drawn on the lid. This absolutely made my day and assured me that this location is the best around.
Thank you to the staff working tonight for making my night! I wish I would have asked for somebody's name so I could...
Read moreI go to this location often, mainly because Sparta drive thru options are lacking. For the most part, I don’t have any big issues with the location. Some of the things I’ve noticed over the years I’ve lived here is that the drive thru workers often ask for a tip, which is just odd to me. I’m not sure if this is normal for all subway locations. There have been times I have given a tip and regretted it due to some part of my order being messed up (chips forgotten, no sauce, bread not being cut, etc). Recently I’ve had two separate occasions where I’ve picked up a steak and cheese sandwich that was really small. For the price of the sub it’s a bit ridiculous to get very little steak and for the sub to be the size of a child’s wrist. I suppose it’s the risk you take by not preparing your own food but still a...
