Ladder Coffee Roasters-Valley — Restaurant in Spokane Valley

This morning my husband took me out on a quick coffee run to Ladder Coffee in Spokane Valley. He had been there before and said that he really liked it. Unfortunately, my experience was not great and his being his second time there, he was disappointed in his drink, too.

When we went in this morning, there were only two young baristas and they both seemed a bit distracted. It took a bit before we could order. When we did order, we specifically asked that our drinks be made hot. I ordered the brown butter cookie latte, and my husband had the pistachio matcha latte, to go. When we paid, they turned the tip screen around and said, "here's this if you want to use it". I felt inclined to tip.

Both drinks took a long time to get, and they were not good, at all. Both drinks were supposed to be hot, and they were iced. My drink tasted of milk, coffee and sugar. There was no indication of butter or cookie or any flavor in the drink. The only cookie relation to my drink was a sugar cookie they sent on top of my lid. My husband's drink was bland and iced. We did not have time to make a request that the drinks be redone.

My favorite craft coffee in Spokane! The team is absolutely awesome, the coffee is superb and food is delicious. My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of dude and loves the breakfast sammie even though it has no meat- this is unheard of, guys. They had a seasonal drink, the French Toast Crunch latte, which when it ran out, their manager Heather mixed up another batch special for me (okay a lot of people drink that drink so I’m sure not for just me but that meant the world to be and it was so appreciated because that drink is GOOD)!
