Yet another bakery that doesn’t care about delivery orders. I wish businesses cared enough to pay any attention to what it says on the order. My delivery driver noticed the missing cake slice immediately, but it had already been so long that they took getting the order ready, I told her just to forget it. It just baffles me why these businesses don’t care.
I’m wondering if maybe it’s the owners that want to partner with Uber Eats but the individual employees don’t. I had heard from my friends that this place ALWAYS forgets at least one item in their order, but with the general lack of availability of gluten free sweets in Spokane, I decided to try it anyways. I choked down about half a brownie and then decided just to toss the entire thing. It was bitter and tasted stale. I even tried heating it up. No sweetness, just a sickly sort of flavor not unlike that which you’d get from a flavor packet you’d add to water.
I’ve been incredibly immobile the past couple weeks due to illness, and I just wanted something tasty to take the edge off the throbbing pain in my head.
Oh well. I can’t fault them. This tactic does discourage people from ordering from the through the app. I know I won’t make that mistake again. I won’t come in person either. When I packed delivery orders back in my restaurant days, I always kept in mind that some people were ordering that way because it was hard for them to come in person. I guess we left that in 2015.
Update: I edited to make atmosphere 5 stars but I haven’t been there in person so the atmosphere could be stellar. I hope so! I added a star to the overall rating with...
Read moreI was finally able to go pick up some of the much talked about cinnamon rolls. They were big and fluffy without being dry and cooked all the way through despite their giant size. The frosting was the perfect balance of sweet and creamy with a slight vanilla twinge.
I only wish they had some outdoor patio tables to enjoy them at as it's simply a kiosk hut and not an actual walk-in bakery. Too bad as the visual of yummy treats in a display case would probably increase her sales. The location is a bit wonky as it is directly behind a coffee kiosk that shares one entrance/exit off of the main highway and no available parking per se. If the cooffee line is busy, you may have a challenging time getting in and out quickly unless people are courteous and leave room to drive past.
Despite the traffic issues, it's definitely worth the hassle and wait. Call/message ahead to reserve your order if you don't want to be dissappointed she has sold out!
UPDATE: Demand is high! I suggest calling in to reserve your order when possible. She's one busy lady and often sells out even before closing time. SO greatful she holds a pan aside for me to pick up when I ask! Always super friendly and definitely strides for customer satisfaction, which seems to be less and...
Read moreI cannot wait to come back here ❤️ My partner and I visited here to celebrate him because we saw online that on your birthday, you can get a free half pound cinnamon roll! Although they were out, that didn't matter to us because the smells drew us in anyway! An adorable girl helped us, who I assume is the owners daughter. Heart immediately melted and what a good little sales woman she was! She talked to us about all of their options, and even gave us a free cinnamon roll muffin in replacement of the cinnamon roll! We also got a soft pretzel with cheese, and a giant chocolate cookie, and they snuck im some extra goodies for us as well. ❤️ I am BLOWN AWAY. Their prices are incredibly affordable, and we absolutely stuffed ourselves on these amazing baked goods because we could NOT stop! Their cookies are perfectly cooked, gooey chocolate center with crisp edges. Their muffins are so flavorful, and the pretzels have an AMAZING taste and the homemade cheese was thick and creamy and to die for! I will 1000% be going back and I can't wait to try their cinnamon rolls and whatever other yummy treats they come up with! I encourage anyone who hasn't tried here to come here because you will absolutely be...
