Zip's Drive In — Restaurant in Spokane Valley

I love the papa joe and fresh banana milkshake Its a good burger and shake because its made with real bananas. Food may take a bit longer but its cooked when ordered, not at all like the food sitting for who knows how long like at McDonald's. The staff are friendly and not afraid to smile at customers. The restaurant was clean even for a busy time and very short handed. The deep fried mushrooms were not quite cooked long enough which I didn't discover untill getting them home. U made a phone call to the restaurant and my name was added to a list to have a free of charge replacement order of mushrooms. I WAS NOT told to come back with my order during the phone call to have it fixed. That was nice and insured I would continue to eat there. I didn't give more stars for only 1 reason and that is prices. Zip's is expensive for a fast food place. I'd eat there way more often if it didn't cost so much. Oh yeah, not all of the zip's restaurants in Spokane and Spokane Valley use real bananas for their milkshakes so be sure to ask if they do before ordering or you may get the nasty tasting fake banana syrup/flavoring. I made a mistake. I thought I was giving a review for the zip's at Trent and Fancher. That zip's is good. I did read other reviews for that location and I completely disagree with several. So perhaps bad reviews came from people that visited less recently than I or I keep getting lucky. That being said, Trent and progress location doesn't use real bananas and the staff are not that great. I also noticed their prices are a bit higher than Trent...

It's few and far between that I can honestly say I love a place. Let alone give positive remarks with out 1 or 2 cobs. Butt As far as this particular zips goes. They are #1.from store cleanness inside and out to each and every employee working I've got to say they are AMAZEING, everything I go in from the time I walk in and I hear the 1st hello(girl at window, counter, even those cooking, all do their jobs so naturally all the while they use. Say hi.. It's the most welcoming comfortable place to be. Their personalities aren't'customer service tone. If y'all know what I mean.. They are being themselves. If any one ever says a negative about this place god shall strike him down.. Oh!!! PS! They are they freshest in food. (no stacking to get ahead, and are happy even when iveseveral times came in like 5 min. B4 close and ordered. But even better. The ice cream cones!my winter favorite. Small come with a mile high swirl of ice cream. Zips is an all around role model to every one. The best. Thanks guys see us next week sun rain or blizzard I'm coming for my cone and I'm 6miles...

Given this branch a few chances. The first thing I noticed was their unusually high prices, compared to other branches. The next visit my food was soggy and stale. Chicken tasted like it had been sitting on the counter for hours. The next thing noticeably problematic is the lettuce. It is without fail old, wilted, soggy, and brown. I don't need crisp fresh lettuce, its fast food I get it, but this looked like dumpster lettuce. This last visit I tried a burger. what made it worse than usual was when I bit into it the meat felt gooey and soft. I looked down and to my dismay saw that the center of my patty was purple. Not pink, which I can handle, the outside was barely seared brown and the middle was still cool to the touch and purple. I had gotten this through the drive through so its even more frustrating getting home, ready for what you think will be decent food, and getting this sad display of culinary mediocrity.
