Crazy Train recently opened up in place of Loco’s, and because we enjoy a Bellwether beer on occasion and live in the neighborhood, we thought we’d give it a try. Can’t say I’d be inclined to go back. We got the chicken sandwich and the bean burger. The chicken sandwich was very overcooked and super bland, with basic frozen crinkle cut fries that didn’t make it out hot. The bean burger, if you could call it a burger, was SO salty it was inedible. Didn’t really get a sense of the curry flavor, which was what I was hoping for, and though it presented well it was just a soggy pile of mush. The bun was also so large and chewy that when you bit into it, it just squished the burger patty out the sides. Salad was okay but lacked vibrancy. If this is what they’re doing with a limited menu, I can’t imagine when they try to add more items. The most disappointing though is the response to my feedback. No one apologized, no one tried to make anything better, or offered anything for a return visit, they just took my plate and walked away. I even tipped 20% when I placed my order. For that reason, I would not recommend and I would not go back. Bummer. Hillyard needs more options.

I've been seeing a few posts about this place in Hillyard Locos and their smoked brisket sandwich, so I decided to give it a shot Orders Smoked Brisket Sammy, with a side of cowboy beans. Smoked chicken wings - which came with a dilly ranch sauce and addicting pickles. The crispy wings had a crunchy texture and were very addictive. “Chip skin wings” omg, so freaking good. Chips and Salsa Smoked chips are a first for me, and what a good idea they were pretty good They have an open-concept space that they share with a brewery and a coffee bar. (I'm a coffee lover, and I was thrilled to find out they have a coffee bar) I got a satisfying cup of chai there. I must come back to try a pulled pork sandwich or smoked chicken. ( and, of course, my favorite crispy chicken wings) I just wanted to let you know that although it's not on the menu, the restaurant offers vegan options like Impossible Burger and tofu. So, if you have any vegans in your group, they'll have something to munch on besides fries. Locos 📍 5016 N Market St Spokane, WA 99217 United States Hours Tues- Sat 11-8 pm

I like their open area concept, they not only have Locos restaurant but there is also a brewery and a coffee shop in the same place, unique and convenient in a way. We had 2 orders of the smoked Brisket Sammy, one with potato salad on the side and the other with cowboy beans. The brisket sandwich was tasty, both my husband and my son enjoyed it. We also had side orders of fries and IMO, best tasting fries around. I had the pork BBQ ribs with slaw, ribs is not the typical fall off the bones saucy and messy kind, this one is more dry, flavorwise it's good but would have prefered my ribs a bit more tender. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and most likely will come back and try other options on their menu.

This is a fairly new boutique restaurant having opened in July 2023. The atmosphere is a little hipster, sharing space with a brewery and coffee shop. Orders are taken at the counter but there is table service after your order is placed. The staff are very friendly. We mentioned we were killing time while waiting on our dog's grooming appointment. The staff provided a little packet of smoked turkey for our dog when they served our food, which was such a thoughtful personal touch. Turkey BLT - thick slices of smoked turkey, tomato, and bacon served on an artisan bun. It was a good sandwich. Very filling and they were liberal with the turkey, bacon, tomato and lettuce. The turkey had a really nice flavor. I would have liked more of the herb mayo. Potato salad I chose as my side was amazing and creative. Not sure what was in it, but I would definitely order it again. The pickles were really good as well. They had just the right amount of sweetness to them and could taste a little dill in them as well. Dang Burger - The pimento cheese and fry sauce added a unique flavor to the juicy beef patty. The fry sauce was also a creative blend that made it special and delicious. They could bottle it and sell it! The fries were seasoned well. We will be patronizing this restaurant again to try their...
