The food here is outstanding. I'm posting after a series of poor front of house experiences that leave me not returning. Everywhere is understaffed, we still choose to go to restaurants despite that. The key, for me, is how you handle being understaffed and how many times that it is thrown out as an excuse for poor service. My brother booked the banquet room for a dinner before his wedding this weekend. He confirmed the date multiple times. We got there and the room had been rented to another party as well. When the minimum is $300 renting the room to another group is unfortunate. This is not the first time there's been confusion with the banquet room for us. But I'm going to stick to this experience. Cut to a banquet room with two parties of 25+ people. One no where to be found server and one disappearing bartender are assigned to serve the whole thing. Either the server didn't know what they were doing or they didn't care because Everytime they appeared with food they wandered around the room asking who it went to. The bartender was no where to be seen so I went down to the bar to try and get a drink. There I was told I had to order through my server, which has not been the case on any of my previous visits. So I asked to see the manager. The manager came over and told me that it was on us because we had booked the room for the following day. I'm not a customer is always right type of person, but I was present when the room was booked and the date was repeated and corrected multiple times. The date booked was correct. A mistake was made. And that's OK. Mistakes happen, again, it's how you recover. So I was walked upstairs by the manager and told I'd receive a free drink. The bartender had reappeared and had a massive line. He was now pulling double duty taking orders and serving drinks. There was a giant line of people trying to get served. This was contradictory because I had asked the bartender if I could order earlier and I was told I had to wait for the server. Who was nowhere to be found. My point is simple - own your mistakes and be honest. This staff does not know how to do that. I would not recommend this place simply due to that. If you're going to eat here, do yourself a favor and order takeout.

So, I have ordered pizza to-go 3 times from here because of the cost. It is a treat when we get it. I live in the neighborhood. I've been in restaurant customer service for 15 years. Generally the food is delicious and the wait is normal for a busy local pizza joint..... Today was a different story though. I ordered one 18" The White pizza with chicken at 5:30pm. They told me that it would be 30mins. I showed up at 6:08pm. Checked in and paid $37+ change and tipped $4. So, $41 for 1 large pizza. They told me is still wasn't ready and that I should take a seat and wait. I proceeded to sit there for around 25mins (maybe longer) with the servers periodically calling back to the kitchen asking when my order would be done. I watched 2 to-go orders come in, get their food and leave. And I also watched 7 pizzas come out of the kitchen while I was sitting there. In total, I waited over an hour for one pizza. Closer to the end of this experience, I see a gentleman in a black shirt (who I am assuming was an owner or manager) come out and the server who first helped me informed him that the kitchen had lost my order and I had waited a long time. He proceeded to yell at me from across the building saying "it's coming and do I want a drink." I said yes and he proceeded to yell "I can't hear you at all from over here". So, I walk up and politely ask for an unsweet ice tea. He then tells me "sorry for the wait, but you should have known better than to come in at dinner time". I was pretty shocked that all I could say back was " I called in my order over 50 mins ago. And that I haven't said a negative word to a single person in their". Would you like to tell me what made you think in your right mind to speak to a chill customer like that? Thank you for showing me why I won't be going back here for pizza anytime soon. I won't pay that much and tip to be treated like that by management. Get some retraining please. What gastly customer service. And I will post my receipt so there is no question as to my validity.

On Monday, August 2, 2021, my family went to Market Street Pizza to celebrate my mom’s birthday. With my family, my sister’s family, my mom and dad, and my brother and his wife, we had a group of 13 people. They sat us at a large circular table that sat all of us which I thought was pretty cool and added something extra to our celebration. The restaurant inspires retro vibes with its décor and themes but it is also very modern and aesthetically pleasing as well…the best of both worlds. They have an arcade with redemption games and a prize counter. Pool, air hockey, and more is also offered. The building itself is spacious and a fun place to be. Now for the most important part: the pizza. Each couple ordered a pizza and then we all shared. I didn’t eat anything I didn’t like. My wife and I ordered the carnivore which was excellent but my favorite pie was the Goodfella that my parents ordered. Pizza is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Our server was superb and did everything in his power to make sure my mom’s night was special. At the conclusion of our meal the whole staff came out and sang “happy birthday.” They gave my mom ice cream and allowed us to enjoy the two cakes we brought from outside the restaurant. Would love to go some day without my kids and have a couple drinks at the bar. Will be returning one way or the other.

I have eaten here a few times and had a great experience. The food was always good. But it seems they have out grown their place. Your customers are the reason you are doing well, when you stop taking care of them you don't make money and tonight, your management failed their team. I watched table after table get up and leave, complain about the wait, and have to ask for their drinks and to fill the salad bar. Whoever owns this place, fire your management, they couldn't even walk around and apologize let alone discount the meal, they set their servers up for failure, drinks were way behind, food took close to 2 hours to get, salad bar was empty, we had to ask for plates, for water, at this point I rather take my business to the plenty other pizza places in the area or stay in and eat.

We set a table up for 10+, your server said they had a lot of reservations so one would think you would staff for it. Failure all around.

Won't be back.

**Update to Market Street request for location: it was the valley location. The unfortunate thing is I had family from New York in, we set up a big family get together with plenty of notice to your staff. I bragged about your pizza and atmosphere...what happened?

We called and left a message as well as confirmed when they opened we had a party of 10+.

Our server said it had been an hour since she put the ticket in. It was 1.5 hours since we been there. That is when she said there are 4 tickets ahead of us and would have to wait another 25 to 30 minutes.

As promised 25 minutes later the first pizza of 5 came out. The biggest issue, the server (not the main one) brought a pizza out that we explained some of our family got tired of waiting and left. And tried to tell her the server was aware. She then starting talking to us very rudely, then walked away as she was saying rude comments, the entire family was in shock and we just left as we had enough verbal abuse and waited way too long. And for good reason, as we watched table after table sit down, order and get served, but not us.

I honestly have never seen a bigger chaotic show. Honestly, there was no manager on duty according to the server. Our grand father got the managers number and he didn't answer assuming it was the real number. Our grandmother asked for a complimentary glass of wine which the server said she would have to ask a manager....but there was no manager. So she got upset for being lied to and left.

At the end of the day my girl friend and I were trying to host family in town and we were absolutely embarrassed.

I cannot recommend this place to anyone for this experience and living close by, coming in as much as we have, we cannot come back. Truly sorry.

To make matters worse as we were walking out they handed us our pizzas, which were...
