AWFUL experience. And old lady was extremely rude. She refused to allow us to sample any flavors, saying she “doesn’t allow” it, despite me being able to do so at other Carvel locations. She attempted to charge us $8.90 for a small cup of ice cream, which is listed at $6.49. When I asked why, she gave an unclear explanation about “high cream something” and insisted on the higher price, repeatedly pointing to the payment machine and saying, “pay here, here, here.”
When I requested Cookies & Cream ice cream, she claimed the store didn’t have it and that my only option was to use the machine ice cream with a topping. I pointed out that the flavor was clearly visible in the freezer right in front of me. At that point, she began stuttering and served me with an obvious bad attitude.
The condition of the store also raised concerns. The ice cream container appeared not to have been cleaned in a while. When I asked for caramel topping, she brought out a large open container of caramel and placed it directly in front of my face in a way that felt unnecessarily confrontational.

I ordered an ice cream cake for a friend, with a special message on the cake. Only after I called to confirm the order does the lady say “I already wrote this much it won’t fit anymore”. I said okay, (kind of wondering if I didn’t call, would I just have gotten an incorrect cake? Why did she start writing if she knew she couldn’t finish it?) I politely asked her if she could just write my name on the box so that the person I’m sending it to knew it was a little gift from me. She insists that she’s not redoing the cake with an attitude. I clarified that’s not what I was asking, and she starts becoming super snappy and repeats herself three times. When she finally understands me, she says “that is not my job to write on the box have your doordasher do it.” And I hear her throw her phone down in anger. 3rd the lady was going to charge me for a large ice cream that was barely large when I was obviously buying my 5 year old a soft serve with chocolate sprinkles nothing fancy.
After she rings me up for a almost $8 soft serve, I asked her if that’s the cost for a kids cone. She then replies back with a no refund policy and that the ice cream is made I then ask again if this is the cost for a kids ice cream, she said I didn’t ask for that. I’m like are you for real, you were too busy to even talk to me, you pointed at the cones and walked away to the back room
I thought I learned after my 1st bad experience buying a ice cream cake (she skimps out on ice cream so the cake looks smaller than normal) with this lady.
Definitely not coming here ever again.
