Jimmy’s Greek American Grill — Restaurant in Spotswood

The only good thing I can say about this place is that the food is ok. I give it not even one star, because there was nothing less than that in here, because I went in with my husband to pick up our food and we had a coupon that covered the whole cost of the food. The manager or whatever he was, didn’t even look at it and said he wasn’t aware that we could use our coupon. He didn’t even bother to look at it. He just said. ‘I didn’t hear anything and I don’t take coupons’. I never would’ve went to get food using the Coupon if it wasn’t legit. After talking on the phone for a long time calling the coupon provider, we showed it to him again and he didn’t want to take it . So we didn’t take the food, and the worse thing after that is that he yelled at us, cursed at us and told us to get out . I was very very disappointed of this place after this. Horrible customer service, and very rude ppl. They have no professionalism and don’t know how to treat their customers right. Nave coming back to this place, and to think I used to...

After reading the reviews, I really wanted to love this joint, but it was simply underwhelming - 3.5* would be ideal, but Google doesn't give that option. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The complimentary warm pita with tzatziki was a nice touch. But the tzatziki was too creamy for my taste, and had a sweetness to it, unlike the ones you get in Greece, although the dill flavor was nice. The spanakopita was not crispy at all... The crispy layers of phyllo is what makes it so darn irresistible! The flavor was decent, but the texture was lacking tremendously. The salmon and rice was mediocre - not bad, but not great. But, the Greek fries and salad were delicious! Definitely must try! I might drop in for a snack (those fries are totally worth it), but...

We're obsessed with this Greek restaurant - it's the best in town. I mean, what's the point of trying other Greek places when this one hits the spot every time? From the appetizers to the entrees to the sides, everything is seriously delicious. I have a confession to make - I order these two dishes all the time to snack on at midnight. My husband knows the drill - I practically push him out the door to get takeout. He's cool with it, though, because he loves their food just as much as I do. He's always talking about how friendly the staff is and how cozy the restaurant is. Here's to hoping this place stays in business for a long time - I'd be heartbroken if I couldn't find another restaurant this good and I’ll be at a total loss for where to find...
