When I entered Matiki Island BBQ in Las Vegas, Nevada, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that transported me to a tropical paradise. The charming Hawaiian-style decor and the hospitable staff made me feel right at home. The founders, Melvin and Ricki Liufau have put a lot of thought and care into the interior design, creating a sophisticated yet relaxed ambiance that perfectly complements the culinary delights that await.
I enjoyed trying their most famous dish, the #1 BEEF RIB "Sam's Plate," and it was an unforgettable gastronomic journey. The ribs were generously portioned, and the founders meticulously oversaw the grilling and smoking process, resulting in a char that was nothing short of perfection. The teriyaki glaze added a perfect sweet and savory balance, creating a symphony of taste that left my palate dancing with joy. The meat was so tender that it effortlessly fell off the bone, making it a carnivorous masterpiece that paid homage to the Jurassic era in size and flavor.
In addition to the #1 BEEF RIB "Sam's Plate," Matiki Island BBQ offers a variety of other dishes that celebrate the authentic flavors of Hawaiian cuisine. The Big Kahuna Plate and Spam Mac Musubi are two standout dishes that are both delicious and filling. Each dish is carefully crafted and served in generous portions, ensuring that patrons are delightfully satisfied.
It's worth noting that Matiki Island BBQ has made a name for itself in California and the 9th island, where it has gained popularity among locals and tourists. This geographical expansion is a testament to the universal appeal of their delectable creations.
Matiki Island BBQ is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Everything about this restaurant is designed to leave a lasting impression, from the inviting ambiance to the warm hospitality and artfully...
Read moreAfter seeing all the Instagram and Tiktok Influencers raving about this place and how you couldn't close the box of ribs because they were so huge and they gave you so much , I had to try it myself. I love bbq and over the last couple years I've gotten into Hawaiian food. I was very skeptical about the ribs , but was hoping it was at least close to being true.
The rib box is $19 and they gave me as a Veteran Discount of a free drink. I got a Fanta Orange. Well , got home and my box was closed , but was pretty full. Now the beef ribs were very tasty , but they hardly had any meat on them ! I'm talking half the meat was at the top of the bone and nothing on the bottom of the bone and very fatty. I believe I got 6 beef ribs , I should have counted yesterday before they took the garbage away this morning. Anyway , the flavor was good and the sauce is very good , but I need some meat on those bones.
The rice was very good and sticky and they give you two scoops of them. I got the macaroni salad instead of the traditional green salad. I'm not much of a macaroni salad person , but it was sweet and pretty good. I just wanted something different and to give it a try. The dining area was clean and several people were sitting in the dining room. I would like to go back again and try a different plate , Chicken and Steak Combo looks pretty good. I would have given it a 5 Star if the beef ribs had more meat on them. If you look on Instagram and Tiktok , they have meat on the entire bone. One of my bones had one piece of meat the size of a quarter and the...
Read moreLast time I will be here ever. Gave this place so many chances to get it right and today was just the cherry on top. I was literally charged 9.10 in tip today when I tapped my card and the lady didn't even want to accommodate as she knew that it was probably a mistake cause I was taking out cash to put it in their tip jar. I do not remember seeing any tip option on the machine where I tapped as I knew I was going to tip cash. We already had an issue with them before with uncooked raw food given to us and they literally made us keep our plate and just remade us ribs on the side. Like okay I'm supposed to eat my rice and potato salad on my plate w all this raw meat. Already complained once. There is like at least 10 people working everything we go in and only the cooks seem to be the ones that are constantly working and they are always talking amongst themselves. They tie their hairs without washing their hands after. Idk I think I have come to my end with this poor management skills and I could have sworn the lady that helped me today was the manager. Because I went back after to get a drink and I paid for it and she literally said I can have 2 drinks instead cause she knew darn well she was wrong with that tip amount. I would understand if they serve me or clean up my table but they dont!!! I too am a manager where I work and deal with food handling services and I will never let this fly as I want them...
