Pit King BBQ — Restaurant in Spring

Barbecue is one of my favorite things to eat especially some Damn good barbecue, i’ve been eyeing this place for a minute and decided to finally pull up and this was a wise decision I ended up getting a 4 meat plate ( was sharing this) I got sausage, chicken, and brisket with two sides of my choice, which was the dirty rice and the baked beans. Also, I got one length of Boudin the sausage had a good snap what a good pepper flavored to it Chicken was ok not really much going on flavor wise, but it wasn’t bad now that brisket 🙌🏾🙌🏾 damn they don’t play about that brisket that was my favorite thing on the plate very soft, tender, jampacked with flavor moist just a solid delivery the dirty rice was also tasty. I like the fresh green onions they put in it and the baked beans were really good there was this distinctive taste to them almost gave me sort of an Asian zing if you will, so they know what they’re doing with the baked beans and the Boudin as well was delicious you have options with that one they have either regular or spicy we went ahead and went with the regular. The establishment was nice clean,customer service was great doesn’t look like they sell any alcohol or beer just your typical sodas and maybe Sweet tea & lemonades and the price for what we paid was outstanding for the amount of food that we got🙌🏾 so listen if you want some good barbecue just come here....

Just left this place. My boyfriend suggested we try this place so we decided to try it today. There was a couple in front of us when we arrived. 7pm. Right after them I ordered and knew exactly what I wanted. The cashier had asked me 2-3 different times what my exact order was. I repeated it. The couple before me and even my boyfriend (who again ORDERED AFTER ME) all had their food for a good 20-30 minutes before I did. My boyfriend and I had almost the exact plate except he had ribs and sausage and I got brisket and sausage. My boyfriends plate with filled and looked amazing complete with pickles and onions. By the time I received my plate his food was cold and my food looked like an after thought.

🍗FOOD:My sausage looked different from his. My brisket was dry and my Mac & cheese was soggy and coagulated. My Dirty rice was dry and had some grains that weren’t completely cooked.

⚠️OVERALL: I ONLY bring this up because I feel it’s relevant in my review….could be something could be nothing buuuuut the only difference between me and everyone else who received their food was our ethnicities. I...

We been stranded in Houston for a couple weeks now ran out of money so I called to see if they could donate any food so my kids could eat. When speaking to the manager they said yes of course. So when we got there a little earlier then scheduled the management came out and came back after a few minutes with barely enough food for one of our kids. Usually I believe in "it's the thought that counts" but I don't know why they would come out with one piece of chicken and some beans. I don't know if my skin tone wasn't the right shade or if it was because we was driving a car better then theirs, but that was highly disrespectful. Baggers can't be choosy but at the same time how was I supposed to explain to children that someone who said they would help to feed them would make them split one piece of dark meat(small piece)........ They should of just said no. No to mention the had us come up there way before closing just to say that, that is all...
