If I could give this no stars I would. So disappointed with how terrible the food and service had been recently. My family always made this our go to place for Sunday breakfast. Not even a whole month has gone by and two occasions we have had hair cooked into our food. When brought to the attention of the owner Antonia, she dismissed it as the cook's are bald so it couldn't have come from them. The food was replaced but we were still charged. Today was the final straw. My father ordered his usual omelet that he enjoys each time we go to this restaurant. With only consuming two bites of the eggs, my father bit down on something very hard. Thinking maybe it was an extra crunchy vegetable, removing it from his mouth, he found that it was in fact a plastic clip, similar to what you tie bags of bread with. When brought to the attention of the manager, she again dismissed the situation no apology, just made my father another platter. When the check came around, it had shown that we were being charged for the meal my father had replaced. My father approached the owner's mother to pay for the bill. He explained what happened and asked that he should be getting a discount for finding a piece of plastic in his food. The woman responded that his meal was replaced. She then called over Antonia and both began speaking in a language my father could not understand. Antonia then responds to my dad that they gave him a new platter. My father then tried to explain that he should be getting a discount because he could have choked on the foreign object. We were lucky enough that this was not in our Aunts food as she has down syndrome and would not have had the same reaction like my father did and the situation would have been more serious. The conversation concluded with Antonia becoming very angry slamming down the check on the counter and taking some portion off of the meal for my father. I am so disappointed in this establishment. For many years even prior to Antonia taking over the business we have been loyal customers. We even just recently had a family members baby shower at her restaurant. This owner will never admit her wrong doing or mistakes. Not even a simple apology. I am saddened that we will no longer be coming to this place. I truly hope they get it together and actually learn to take pride in their restaurant and remember that maybe you shouldn't overlook respecting your loyal...
Read moreGood Evening Google Family. I visited for the first time today. I googled breakfast spots and this came up. Originally, I was going to Bittersweet Kitchen in Media, but alas, no parking in Media. There is metered parking but no spaces were available. Also there was kiosk parking but I do not have the app that is required and I was not going to download it. I have Meter App for Philly, but not the one for Delaware County. I ordered take out at Antonia's. A nice young lady handed me a menu. I decided on 2 slices of french toast and turkey bacon. Salma, another nice young lady who smiled, took my order. It was $12.93. I was happy because I finally found a nice breakfast spot and it was inexpensive. What a FIND!!! I can't wait to tell AJ about this one. I received my food quickly and I also asked for an orange juice, a large. I was so hungry after trying to donate blood at the American Red Cross. This time at the Wawa Beverage Center in Media, PA., located at 1393 Baltimore Pike. My hemoglobin, once again was too low for Power Red. They tried two thumbs. The one thumb registered 8.9, so so low and the other thumb was 13.0. Not enough for Power Red. I didn't want to give a regular blood donation, I signed up for Power Red. So I bade them goodbye and then I left. I love donating Power Red since you only have to do it four(4) times a year. Salma, my server, was so so nice at Antonia's and she smiled. I gave her my business card and I asked her to follow me on my social media platforms. She said that she would. I gave her a $5.00 tip since she was so kind and hospitable. She smiled and was very happy. I wonder if she is named after the actress Salma Hayek. I paid my bill and then I left. This is a nice quaint restaurant. The set up and the inside of the place is very inviting. Antonia's reminds me of a quaint little inn that you see on social media. Also it reminds me of a cozy bed and breakfast. I enjoyed my experience here even though I opted for take out and ate in my car. I don't like dining alone in a restaurant. I will be back. I liked the service here very much. Not like IHOP IN UPPER DARBY at all!!!! Good night Google family, workout, be healthy, fit and...
Read moreMy order was COMPLETELY WRONG!!!. I ordered 2 variety platters which come with 1 pancake, 1 french toast, 1 turk. bacon and 1 turk. sausage, and eggs. This place gave me 2 platters with 2 turk. sausages, homefries, and eggs. When I called they had already taken down the breakfast menu and I could not verif my order initially so I told the girl my order was wrong and she said the only thing wrong is we ran out of Turk. bacon so we gave you 2 turk. sausage. We can give you a credit tomorrow if you call back. I said I thought it came with pancakes and french toast and she lies and says no you would have had to select that. I then went to their website to pull up the exact thing that I ordered and clear as day pancake and french toast were listed. I called back and told her what I ordered and she said oh well we are closed now and our cook is gone. They serve lunch and dinner, they are not closed, why would she lie to me? She then tells me to call back in the morning for a free meal. Why do people think that is acceptable, if I wanted food tomorrow morning I wouldn't have ordered today. I work from home and was way too busy this morning to cook for my 2 and 5-year-old and my husband still works at his site. Now I had to stop working and cook meaning I will have to work longer hours later. This place is horrible and I am...
