Taqueria La Calpena — Restaurant in Springfield Township

I ordered 3 carnita tacos. When the tacos came out, there were other parts of the pig with no meat. Just plain grease. I’ve eaten a lot of carnitas from different Mexican places before and I could tell just by looking at it that there was no meat in any of the tacos. Just grease tacos. They do have a little fixing table for the tacos such as cucumbers, limes and etc. Those were very good. Just not the tacos.

I took the tacos back to the lady and showed her and she said that “it’s all mixed”. Basically, all mixed greasy parts with no meat. That’ll be the last time I ever go there. Go somewhere else to eat REAL MEAT...

I ordered the carne asada street tacos...they were ok but I found them without too much flavor. They also had alot of cilantro and onions moreso than meat. I asked for extra green sauce but didn't get it. The only real star of the show was the rice though I wish I had salt to go with the rice and beans. The beans were on the bland side.
