Went with my husband for Sunday lunch.
I believe we got there when they opened around 11am. We were seated immediately, the waiter asked what drinks we wanted. I ordered my drink then my husband ordered a sprite and the waiter came back with my correct drink and a sweet tea.
We were the only customers in the restaurant for the first few minutes until a family of 5 sat next to us. They ordered and got their food before us. In the meantime, my husband needed a refill and We hadn’t seen the waiter since he got our drinks. A younger guy brought our food out and we asked for more salsa and napkins. We got two napkins and no salsa until we reminded the guy when he walked by (not even being our waiter). When he brought our food out, my husband ordered fajitas and did not bring out the tortillas. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and 1 steak taco, there was probably three slivers of meat on each taco.
Finally, my husband gets his tortillas to be able to eat the fajitas and at this point he still hadn’t had a refill. We asked the waitress that walked by for a refill.
When we were done eating, my husband and I sat there waiting and finally a waitress walked by and she was able to get the waiter we had not seen since we received our drinks, to get the bill. He finally brought the bill over, needless to say he didn’t receive a tip due to the poor customer service he provided.
We don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are a few other Mexican restaurants nearby that are a lot better, food wise and customer...
Read moreI'm going to go ahead and say I have eaten here dozens of times. This place is usually very good, attentive, and actually pays attention to customers. Tonight was not one of those nights.
The restaurant was not busy, I would say maybe 6-7 tables between two to three people working the restaurant. We got our drinks quickly, the staff was friendly, but their ability to ignore our table while giving drinks (alcoholic) constantly to the tables around us was nuts. I dont know if it was a slip or what, but it was bizarre to say the least.
The food was decent as usual. Very few times is the food not good here, but you can tell when they're overloaded by the quality of their food. It's best to not come here when they are busy, and go on weekday nights if possible.
I would recommend this usually, but to get ignored by the wait staff for half an hour after they delivered our food was kind of annoying. I personally won't be going back for a while, but there's no better Mexican food in Springfield.
Edit 1: I posted this review right as we were asked "would you like your check" and we said "yes please". We then waited 20 more minutes while being ignored again. Changed my review from 3 stars to 2 stars (and it only has two stars because the food was okay). Won't be back here for...
Read moreMe and my family went there and ordered when our food came out the food smelled funny but we thought maybe it was just us but when everyone tried thier food it all tasted funny. We waited and waited for the wait staff to come by even tried to flag someone who worked there but wasn't it waiter but they kept walking by as if we weren't saying any to them. Then when we went to leave we asked to speak to the manager to talk about the food not to get t it for free but to let them know that the food seemed off so they weren't serving the same food to other people thee guy said he was the owner then claim we are like all other people who eat all the food then co plain trying to get it for free. I've been in restaurant management for 1p years and I know the games people play I asked him to come look at the table and see we hardly are anything not just me bit my whole family. My child's chicken nuggets were so hard he couldn't eat them. I asked him to look at the table but he refused stated speaking Spanish to my wife who is Spanish buy wasn't raised speaking it and yelling at her when she explained that she don't speak Spanish he told us to pay and leave and never come back. I've never been so disrespected my like for me...
