Huddle House — Restaurant in Springfield

Huddle House in Springfield has definitely lost my business! I was gonna go grab a waffle taking a break from packing. They had a crowd but I didn’t mind waiting since I’m taking a break. I sat at a table someone was leaving from and gathered the dirty dishes at the end of the table. 2 different servers walked by 5 times and no greeting, getting dishes, telling me they would be with me shortly, nothing. I was still ok with waiting little bit until the next thing that happened. A friend of mine came in and spoke to me. He had said they were going somewhere not as crowded and I told him I understood because I had been sitting there waiting a few minutes. One of the older workers there shouted at me from across behind the counter and said I needed to wait a da@@ minute because they were busy and short staffed (I saw at least 6 employees in there…most I’ve ever seen) and they would get to me when they got to me. I promptly grabbed my wallet and keys, stood up, and said “I was talking to my friend, not you. I didn’t say anything bad about the wait. However, if that’s your attitude don’t think I’m spending my money to get cussed at or have someone with a snotty attitude”! Another gentleman who was standing waiting for a table said “that was definitely unnecessary and extremely rude” and he left right behind me. Me and my wife came to the Huddle House for breakfast it was our first time trying Huddle House since we moved here, and it will definitely not be our last as we pulled in the landscaping was so neat and appealing it was very colorful the outside of the restaurant was very clean as soon as we walked in we were greeted with a very warm welcome the inside of the store was very clean the server Brandi suggested our drinks which we got an orange juice and a peach tea that by the way we never had and I must say it was very refreshing Brandi was very polite and on point with the whole service the manager Patsie was cooking our food and it came out hot and delicious the food was cooked to perfection. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. The restrooms were immaculately clean.i must say this was the best experience the staff really went above and beyond to make our experience one we will never forget by the time we left we felt like part of the Huddle House family. IF I COULD GIVE A 0 I WOULD. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND TERRIBLE FOOD. MY HUSBAND TRIED TO EAT HIS FOOD. I WILL NOT PUT THAT MESS IN MY MOUTH. MY FOOD LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE VOMIT ON IT PLUS IT WAS NOT A BOWL LIKE I ORDERED. THE WAITRESS WAS TERRIBLE AND COLD. SHE ACTED AND LOOK LIKE SHE WAS WORKING WITH AN HANG OVER AND DIDN'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED. MATTER FACT THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT WAS UNWELCOMING. I SHOULD HAVE TURNED AROUND THEN. LESSON LEARNED; I DON'T CARE WHAT I HAVE A TASTE FOR. WON'T GOING THERE AGAIN. WE HAVE MADE OUR LAST $24 DONATION TO THE HUDDLE HOUSES IN THE AREA. WHEN I TELL YOU RINCON AND SPRINGFIELD IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER VISIT. I WILL WAIT UNTIL I GO BACK TO HENRY CO. TO GET MY BOWL.
