Summer or 2024... This location has existed for dozens of years, I've lived in Springfield almost my whole life and have never, by chance, visited. It's a pretty cute restaurant, having obviously kept its original decor. We especially love the tenders and the fish. I really enjoy the Bonsai dipping sauce as well. Our disappointments, however, are that the mashed potatoes are instant and that we can not eat the green beans OR the baked beans because there's pork in both. I sure wish there were more choices in the ways of sides, but the chicken is really good. Update from 1 year ago... Double check your order when you receive it. The automated ordering idea is a fiasco! No butter or honey with the biscuits. No bonsai sauce, which is my favorite. Once you're home, it's too late. They're never busy, so I'm not sure why they need help from AI, and yet they're STILL not able to include all that the customers have asked for in the bag. Plus... our Mac and cheese was burned, and the potato wedges were old and hard. Maybe they need AI to produce the food as well. What a train wreck. 🤦🏻

Updated 3-11-25 I picked up food from Lee's tonight on Palm Road and was sadly disappointed. The spicy dippers combo tonight came with four miniature dippers that wouldn't have fed my granddaughter let alone an adult. Now I do not know if this was just them having a bad night or the company downsizing portions but for a restaurant that prides themselves on quality it should really make sure that the quantity is what the customer is paying for. I'll give them another shot but if I'm getting kids meals for adult prices you'll be the last chance I give them. Lee's is the superior chicken restaurant in my opinion. Their chicken is better than KFC hands down. Their gravy is superior to all other fast food chicken places too. I prefer their spicy dippers with honey mustard sauce to other menu options. If you are looking for good chicken this is the place for you.

Always get a receipt and check order before you leave the area. I knew I should have when the automated lady took my order. When I got home I saw the green beans were odd and then the fact I got spicy chicken was the kicker. The AI lady even told me famous back. Lesson learned

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Just went to this location and order a 8 piece extra crispy meal (all breasts) with two sides. The lady in the front/cashier was nice but the food itself was very disgusting. First off, the chicken was mushy (like an elmers glue stick) on the inside and the batter was falling off the chicken itself. Also, the two sides had a weird smell to them. Unfortunately I didn't check these things before my family started eating them and now they have stomach aches. Second, while I was waiting for my order in the lobby I heard the cook cussing up a storm in the back about something (luckily my kids weren't with me). Finally, when I called to speak with the manager a rude guy answered the phone and said he was the manager. I asked him for his name (like I would do anywhere I would call to speak to a manager) and asked 3 times but he would not give it to me? At this point I said I was going to call corporate in which he didn't care. It is people and places like this that are tarnishing our communities. I will not be spending my hard earned money on this place ever again and you shouldn't either. Hopefully corporate will look into what is going on here for you guys/gals sake. Take Care...

Just spoke to a kaitlyn at the home road store and she was the least bit concerned with my issue. All she said was ok after everything I said. My problem was I ordered the new chicken sandwich combos. I expected to have wedges and a drink well I got a drink and sandwich and no wedges. When I told her this she says you have to let her know you want the sides. Well if she asked if I wanted drinks with that then wouldn’t that mean we wanted the combo I mean hello this isn’t rocket science. Then they ask if you want sauces and you tell them and you get all the way to find no sauces in the bag what so ever. They close at 9 pm now so if you go 8 o’clock or close to 9 they are in such a rush to get out of there and don’t care about operating the business correctly. I will be contacting their corporate because this is ridiculous for the amount you pay for the food. The teenagers are rude and I’m sick of these restraints using covid as an excuse for...
