We used to love this place. The food was great, the staff knowledgeable and friendly and it’s close to home. We love to support local businesses. However, in the past year, all of those things have gone down hill. Today was the biggest disappointment. We called to order dinner (large pizza and large garlic crust pie aka cheesy breadsticks) to pick up on the way home. I arrived and the female employee that greeted me went to look for our order and apparently nobody seemed to know which was ours or where it was. She proceeded to ask every employee about our order. She then found it sitting on the back counter, not under the warmer, and handed it to me. When we arrived home (2 blocks away), our food was barely warm and practically void of any kind of moisture. Our cheese bread looked as if it was cut to be a Picasso piece, in multiple odd cuts with huge pieces and some pieces the size of a quarter. I decided to call the restaurant and speak with a manager. The manager, Larry, answered the phone and I explained the issue to him. He, not the female employee, proceeds to tell me that he opened the boxes to show me our items and pointed out the miscut on the bread. He told me that I said “it would be ok”. One, I never spoke to him when I picked up the order. I only interacted with the female employee. Two, she, let alone he, never opened the boxes to show me the items. Three, if I would have see the miscut, I would’ve asked for a new one because it was also very overdone. Bottom line is, if you want to keep the locals as continuous customers, don’t lie to them and make up a story because you are trying to cover your backside and not fix the mistake. Needless to say, the lying manager has lost this frequent local customer. I guess I’ll drive to the south side of town to get Arris Pizza...
Read moreEdit: came back in to give it another go, not only was I was double charged, which I disputed it with my bank and was told the establishment kept both even though clearly both were for the exact same order, one over the phone and the other when my wife arrived to grab it as she was told I hadn’t paid ahead, but we never received the money back. When I called the place I was told they had no record of it and therefore could do nothing for me. So, I paid over $100 dollars for subpar pizza and salad. Especially, when considering the insane price hikes; it’s 100% worse than it used. $55 for one large pizza, one large salad, two kids drinks and two adult drinks is way too much. Considering the products used are not in anyway above average tasting at least. When I first moved here before the current owners, it was hands down the best pizza in town, and now it’s just average to below average. You can disagree and others might not remember the quality difference, but I’ll never forget. I actually have a good palette too and not some country bumpkin one that likes Sysco stocked crap at nearly every single restaurant in town.
The food was much better let’s say around 2015. It's the quality of food for me; it's not there anymore. The staff is nice and...
Read moreI ordered through DD and the meal was still sealed when I received it, and I had no dressing for my salad. I called them and Larry their manager was very rude. so for some reason, Larry, felt the need to send me a letter to my house calling me a liar and then saying that I basically don't have the right to leave the review that I did. I would encourage no one to go there. Larry has no idea what customer service is. Also since I know he read my last review, I was angry at any time during either of our conversations. When you you asked how can you make it right, what you assumed was me crucifing him was simply, a question. At any time you could've you could've given another offer. Also when you called me back to inform me that my order was correct as you received it and I said DD probably messed it up, you could've also aked that the offer could be renegotiated, and I would've been more than happy to. However since no other offer was made at any time, I left it as is. Finally if you ever contact me again the law and the news will be involved. People like this shouldn't be put in the position...
