I gave this place 2 stars due to the girl that actually served me (thick brunette) and the cook (thick older lady) otherwise, Iād have given less. I wish I had gotten their names, because they were gems š Iāve been in MO for about a week now and have experienced more racist acts here, than I have ANYWHERE on earth. When I entered this setting, there was a blonde waitress who looked through me. Wish I had gotten her name. She continuously walked past me as if I did not exist, and then proceeded to seat a table of four (white) and served them while continuing to ignore me. The woman who finally served me, acknowledged me by saying, āIād be with you in a momentā which is all I wanted. Acknowledgment that I was THERE. After she waited on the tables she had before me, she waited on me and the cook came to her and asked my order and made it PERFECTLY! These two ladies displayed NOTHING but professionalism and I had no reason to play the race card there. But to the ugly blonde: thank you for being openly racist. I think I can speak for all black people in saying, we appreciate it when one is not in the closet about their hate for us. Because I have never met you in my life, I know Iāve done you NO wrong. What goes around...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst, let me say that I ā¤ļø The Waffle House Franchise! Iām currently staying at a nearby hotel. Food options are exclusively limited to this restaurant. I dined in for breakfast. The food and service was great! Then I overheard a conversation about them recently reopening due to mandatory Covid shutdowns. So God laid it on my ā¤ļø to give my server a nice tip. She explained to me how it had been a difficult year and I was excited in my decision. For dinner, I called in an order and walked to pick it up. Everyone greeted me nicely. I asked for a order of eggs to go on my steak and cheese bowl. While I was waiting with my debit card in hand, one of the servers made out my ticket. I made up my mind to give her the same tip I gave the server earlier. When she told me the price I was shocked so I asked her what she charged me. She then told me there was a 10% fee for carry out. Then I noticed the little plaque placed on a booth. Itās a gratuity tip for the server. I explained to her that she would be better off receiving the tip instead of charging me that fee. But, she insisted, so I paid for my order. Plus gave her a $5.00 tip. That was out of pity because of her poor decision making. I tipped my server in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time going to a waffle House ever it was a weird atmosphere. Ever one of the employees were very different we had a server that name started with J iāll just call her Jesse, so Jessie was pretty. She was cool but we could tell Jessie did not like the other female server who acted like a boss and like she knew everything will call her Karen so Jessie was cool. Karen wasnāt and then there was a a male server who was pretty prideful who kept checking us out, made me wanna take little bites so I wouldnāt show him how wide my mouth would go and then we had the chef. The guy is a legend you know he knows what heās doing. Looks like he stopped a robbery the night before had a bunch of injuries bandaged up and a bunch of open wounds, broken leg, but he was still killing it on the grill just like he killed back in Vietnam and then last but not least. Iām pretty sure itās the manager dudeās a tank. His name was Lazarus. OK thatās a cool name but the dudeās built like Jason Momoa looks like he eats 10 waffles a day, all coated in...
