New House Chinese Food — Restaurant in Springfield

Worst experience I have ever had from any restraunt. Specifically told the woman on the phone that I wanted beef lo main with only the noodles. When it got here i gave the driver a tip, and was super excited to eat something after being in the hospital all day. I opened up the container and the noodles were infested with vegetables. Again I asked for only the noodles (not to be picky, but because I'm alergic to cabbage.) So I gave them a call back, and was told it would be replaced and then was swiftly rushed off the phone. I waited for 34 minutes before I decided to call back because it only took 22 minutes to get a much larger order here before hand. I was told there was a large rush to which I was understanding and was told my food was on its way. Well, 47 more minutes pass so I started to wonder what was going on and why my food hadn't came yet. I proceeded to call again only to be told that my food in fact was not on its way, it never was, and that it wouldn't be. At this point I became a bit frustrated seeing as I paid almost 30 dollars for everything just for it to be wrong. so I asked for my money back and even told them they could come get the food in return for my money (even if it was just my portion of the order refunded) but I was told that I wasn't going to get my money back either. First time visit to new house this evening. I would typically give a new food establishment a few try’s when the food is “off” in case the cook was having a bad day but I don’t plan to return here for seconds. I based my visit from the great reviews I see online and personal friends word of mouth reviews despite the appearance of this place from the outside. There are some great “hole in the wall” places to eat in Springfield but New House doesn’t get my vote. I ordered the general chicken, orange chicken (all white meat for the chicken )and crab rangoon. Both came with rice and an egg roll. The chicken on both tasted old, maybe from the grease it was fried in and wasn’t much more than room temperature in the middle. The consistency was rubbery and not very appetizing. The crab rangoon’s were cold and overly onion flavored. The rice was undercooked and more chewy/hard than anything. The egg-roll was about the only thing that was worth eating but still tasted more like a frozen microwave egg-roll.

Ordered a delivery order. They took the order and credit card info then said they would call back to get our address. We had to call them 25 minutes later to tell them our address. They then said it would be another 45 min before we got our food. By this time they had already ran the card and taken money out of our account.Took over an hour to get it. Called to ask about the order was hung up on multiple times. Very poor service will not order from them again. Kept saying that they were busy, they would answer the phone and take other orders while I was trying to ask them questions. I was trying to cancel the order to no avail. So now the food is lukewarm and just disappointing. Really liked this place but because of being hung up on when calling for the first time to ask about my order then being attitude given to me whenever I did get an answer is unacceptable
