Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Springfield

This is by far and above the worst dairy Queen I have ever been to. To start off with the lobby is half closed off and is being used as an open storage space. The bathrooms are closed but I saw the mailman come in and use them so I know that they are operational. The location is dirty inside. The soda machines are not functional. I ordered a chicken strip basket it came with four tiny dark colored cold pieces of chicken, a warm flat drink and they said that the ice machine is completely broken so the drink will be warm, a handful of dark colored cold french fry pieces and a cup of white milky substance. When I took the meal back up one of the employees looked at me and told me that it must be the gravy.... This was before I had said anything meaning they knew there was a problem and had served it to me already. I need to stress you that whatever was in that cup had absolutely zero resemblance to gravy I don't know what it was. They turned around and began to yell at the guy in the food prep area that he should not serve this the next time that this happened it should be thrown out..... I asked for a refund and as far as I know was told that I would get it I inserted my card and got a receipt but I have not seen the refund on my credit card yet. I would recommend avoiding this location if there is absolutely any other option for food in the area.... Maybe even then. I'm certain that if I would have eaten that food I would have gotten sick. This is the 3rd time I’ve went to this specific DQ and had problems EVERY SINGLE TIME but I try to give them the benefit of the doubt being it’s the closest location to my home I went there tonight and got two blizzards neither of which was flipped upside down but no big deal I just love the ice cream but this time my ice cream was so melted when I got it it was like it had just been sitting on a counter waiting for me it was horrible I wasn’t served any napkins with my ice cream or anything to be specific I ordered a cookie jar blizzard which is my go to blizzard normally the cookie dough pieces inside are just hard enough where they won’t break your teeth but not too soft which is perfect i bit into one this time and it was soggy like it had been in the ice cream for hours I am very unhappy with this specific DQ and probably will...

This establishment has been in our neighborhood since I was a little boy, we all looked forward to going and eating a sundae or ice cream cone I am disabled but I road my power chair to this establishment was excited because I wanted a triple cheese and a ice cream, the triple chase came with fries the drink was good the burger was like warm at best, the fries the same, the drink was decent, the Blizzard was the best part of my experience, I ate in the dinning area only to be let down by having to look at a makeshift storage area right in the back of the dinning visible for all to see. It is sad to see this place on the original route 66 go down hill like this when I was going there as a child with my parents it was a special treat and it was a walk up window only establishment at that time maybe they should start...
