Ted Drewes Frozen Custard — Restaurant in St. Louis

The crew that was working Wednesday, July 7th around 9:30 specifically gets these stars. that's not one apiece, that's five for each of them. when I got there there was a really long line of maybe 20 or 30 people out in front and I think the longest anybody waited was 5 minutes maybe less. they were all super professional and obviously knew what they were doing I hope they're getting paid enough cuz they deserve a raise in my opinion! You got to understand my situation, I'm over here in St Louis working almost 4 hours drive away from where I actually live so when I'm not at work it's easy to lose focus on things which is not a good idea in St Louis. Now here's another thing that's kind of a big deal to me: the young lady who took my order was paid in cash and due to the long line, I stepped back into the crowd to wait for my order I forgot to get my change from her. this would have been a perfect opportunity to score 15 free dollars and nobody would have even noticed. She wasn't having it though and she called me out to let me know that I had change coming. that's the problem with being tired in a city that's a lot different than the one you live in but she really had my back and I really appreciate her for it. oh yeah the custard right? tlThat's what this review is about 😉 right? it was awesome I really wish we had one of these in town but if there was more than one of them, I guess that would make this unique location lose some of its appeal. I'll definitely come back here with Pamela, if I can, next time I'm in town. Hell, I might be back tomorrow night! I got a peanut butter-brownie concrete, which was life altering good. The only problem I had was that I was kind of upset at the size of my stomach which ensured that I couldn't eat one of everything on the menu. Since I can't come here all the time, you know I wanted to try everything. Thanks again to everybody, please don't think I automatically assume somebody would keep my change but a lot of people would so I really do appreciate you for getting my change back to be and making sure I didn't make that mistake. Customer service was poor, stood and watched 10 people get their custard before mine. Heard mine get called out and went to pick it up. The lady at the window said it was someone else’s, even though I ordered before the person in question. I asked where mine had been and she said I already picked mine up. As much as I love standing in 90 degree sun for extended periods of time it wasn’t worth the wait. Asked for my receipt and she said we must have forgotten this one, after she just said I had already picked it up? First and last time visiting this location. Had high hopes from word of mouth of this place but as I sit here and eat this I can confidently say it is not worth the visit. May try the other location...

This place is always busy I dont think theres been a time this summer I haven't drove past to lines of people tonight the wait wasnt to bad,they gave us an extra ice cream but it was good they got our order right,just dont know where the extra came from but cant complain about free,and it was good but I wouldnt say it was the greatest as in custard like the claims maybe it was just an off day i dunno i got an oreo concrete with fudge and it wasnt as thick and rich as I had thought it would be but great ice cream i suppose but for the price dq, might be my next choice,If I were reading reviews I'd take a 2nd oppinion but never...
