We came for our anniversary. We almost sat outside, but it was too hot and bright. Inside was better, but the shades on the windows were still not good enough, and my BF was getting beamed in the face by the sun for part of the dinner. The seating was prompt, as we had reserved, as was the tableside service. After we received our appetizers the waitress came back 15 min later with extra plates and asked us if we wanted them for sharing the apps, which we had finished by that point so that was a bit odd. We got the jerk fries, and the spicy watermelon apps, the fries were well seasoned but neither of the sauces were "amazing" or screamed Jamaica at all. The watermelon dish was much more unique and interesting. I got the crispy tofu peanut sauce pasta which was absolutely perfect, very intense peanut flavour. He got the Chicken which he enjoyed. Atmosphere was nice, very well decorated and good vibe. I'd say the TVs in there actually cheapen the vibe if anything. Overall very nice night out, and a good anniversary.

Tried this place for New Years Ever, have heard nothing but great things. Started off with a drink at the bar while waiting for our reservation time, bartender was warm, welcoming, great customer service. Cannot over state how AMAZING the food was; I went with the steak tartare; it was great. For my entree I ordered the duck and it was superb; the duck was cooked to perfection and the gnocchi was to die for. Unfortunately the entire dinner was soured by our waiter. Older man, dark thick glasses (EDIt: phot added from their webpage). EXTREMELY sassy, unprofessional and downright rude. My partner asked him to repeat the special and he was very rude/condescending, to the point where we all laughed each time he left the table; we thought we were on a hidden camera prank show it was so bad . After ordering our initial drinks and appetizers, he told us we had to order our entrees now “because it’s how our kitchen works, we don’t want gaps”; mind you we had been seated for 5 or so minutes. I ordered 2 beers with my meal and they were served in a full (warm) glass of foam (see picture) and the can; not what I expect from an upscale restaurant. The food was so good I’d given them another try but would politely ask to switch sections if he was our server.

We dined at the Bellwether on July 5th. We made a reservation and were seated promptly once we arrived. We ordered the jerk fries and octopus and calamari dish for appetizers. The jerk fries were not what we expected the fries were well seasoned, but only came with a “jerk” ketchup dip. I personally wouldn’t say the flavor was remotely linked to anything Jamaican. The calamari and octopus was not bad, the sauce was 50/50. For the entree we order the sea food ravioletti. It had too many capers and the flavor was bordering on bland. My dining companion got the trout and it was under seasoned. We also got the midnights children gin cocktail 10/10 best thing we had all night. We ended with the peach bread pudding, the dessert was overall lacking the quintessential flavors one would expect from a bread pudding. It was too dry, the peach sauce was serviceable and the ice cream helped immensely, but it was a bit of a chore to finish it. Over all the service was not bad and the food came out at a nice pace. The inside dining area is picturesque and gives major craft bar vibes. P.S. I’m not sure I’m a fan of the TVs, that vibe is more sports bar not craft bar.

Went here because I had heard good things about their brunch and could sit outside and enjoy the weather while eating our food. I guess I should have just gotten brunch and not dinner. Waitress started by apologizing for our wait at the table to get water. Not a big deal but we noticed as the dinner went on she kept apologizing for the kitchen or for people’s wait times. Anyways, ordered a salad that stated it came with grilled artichokes but were clearly just from a can. Maybe two cherries in there too. Not great but passable. The entrees were not at all what the menu described. My steak said it came with shishito peppers and I was supplied with 1 single pepper. I asked the waitress for more and she said it was such bullshit that they gave me only one but returned to not have any peppers for me stating that they didn’t have any. My wife’s pasta had no ricotta salata but instead just parmesan. Also her “heirloom tomatoes” were just cut up cherry tomatoes. All in all, great location and outdoor seating was nice. Just seems like the menu lied about what we were ordered. Side note, everything severely under salted.
