ββββββ "Amazing" If I could give Polite Society 6 stars, I would! π This has officially become my favorite spot in St. Louis for a romantic, memorable dinner with someone special. π My girlfriend and I rarely return to the same restaurant, always eager to explore new flavors, but Polite Society left us craving more after our first visit. We simply had to come back - and let me tell you, it was just as incredible the second time around! π
Decor π¨
Stepping into Polite Society is like entering a whimsical world where the past and present collide in the most stunning way. π The massive, multi-tiered bar immediately catches your eye, with its precariously stacked shelves bearing an impressive array of spirits. πΈ It's a sight that leaves you both in awe and slight trepidation, as if a gentle breeze might send it all tumbling down. π Venture upstairs to the dining area, and you'll find yourself surrounded by a captivating blend of exposed brick, iconic wallpaper, and eclectic decor that transports you to a charming 19th-century home. π‘ The ambiance is truly one-of-a-kind, making Polite Society one of the most beautiful restaurants we've had the pleasure of dining in. π€©
Service πββοΈ On both occasions, the service at Polite Society has been nothing short of fantastic. π The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is top-notch. π They strike the perfect balance between being present when you need them and allowing you to enjoy your meal and conversation uninterrupted. π
Food π½οΈ Now, let's talk about the real star of the show: the food! π During our visits, there's always been at least one dish that leaves us utterly speechless. π² On our first visit, the cauliflower starter was a 10/10 - simply incredible! π₯¦ The steak with Brussels sprouts and fries was so mind-blowingly delicious that we almost ordered it again on our second visit. π₯©π Trust me, if you try this dish, you'll be tempted to stick with it forever!
Our second visit (photos included!) began with a lovely broccolini dish that we thoroughly enjoyed. π₯ The mixed green salad that followed was a hit with me, although my girlfriend wasn't quite as enthusiastic. π€·ββοΈ We concluded our meal with the RagΓΉ Mafalda, which had great flavor but suffered from inconsistent temperature. π Some bites were pleasantly warm, while others were a bit too cool for our liking. Despite this minor hiccup, the overall quality of the food at Polite Society is undeniable. π€€
In Retrospect π€ Polite Society has solidified its place as our go-to spot for a romantic and memorable dinner in St. Louis. π The enchanting atmosphere, impeccable service, and delectable cuisine create an experience that keeps us coming back for more. While not every dish has been perfect, the overall quality and creativity of the menu are truly impressive. π If you're looking for a restaurant that combines stunning ambiance with culinary excellence, Polite Society is the place for you! π

Β Β Β Read moreI ended up here with a friend after another popular brunch spot in Midtown had us waiting (which is fine) but the gentleman taking care of waiting customers was unnecessarily rude. We gave up and said "Polite Society... Hmm let's go".
Overall, easy 5/5 stars. I'm a simple girl but I sure love to eat and Polite Society made our meal so enjoyable. I can't...
Β Β Β Read moreMy husband and I came here for our anniversary. He must have told them that when he made the reservation because both the hostess and our waitress immediately wished us happy anniversary. We decided to go all out and get cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. Nothing disappointed. I tried a Strawberry Manilow for my first gin cocktail. It was good, but after a while, I was tasting the balsamic more than anything, so I didnβt think I could do two. It did pair pretty well with the arancini. Our other appetizer was the blistered shishito peppers. Also very good, although these two were strange together as the Italian arancini was much sweeter than the Asian-inspired peppers. My husband enjoyed two sanguines for his cocktail. For entrees, I had the udon noodles with crispy tofu. It was my first time having tofu. Although I liked the crisp of it, it was flavorless when eaten on its own, but it was great (as was the rest of the dish) when eaten with the sauce, vegetables and noodles. Noodles were a nice thickness, cooked perfectly. I also thought the dish had a nice spice levelβtasty but not painful! And it paired very well with my second gin cocktail, the Thai Fighter. I think this one was my favorite. My husband had the pork osso bucco. I cannot only tell you it looked like an impressive dish, but of course I tried it, and I can vouch that it was also delicious. Pork was so tender, it kept breaking in pieces as I tried to stab it with my fork, and the scoop of polenta I also stole was creamy and flavorful. We finished the evening with a glass each of sparkling wine, complements of the restaurant for our anniversary. Class act, and top-notch service to boot. Thanks for helping us...
