I got the macho burrito to go and waited for it to g Be ready. Checked in a couple times and the guy went and got it from the back. Didn’t get the extra tomatoes or lettuce that I asked for. But when I got back to my room, a mear 30 second walk, it was cold. had to have been sitting in the to go container a long time and was soft and soggy through the bottom of the container. It didn’t have much flavor past the rice and beans paste. And the pork inside the burrito was most definitely way overcooked and had a lot black, charred pieces of meat mixed into over cooked mean. it appeared that it had just been wrapped up in a tortilla and microwaved to melted cheese on top Not sure about that part.

I went and politely told the manager, the next mornjng because it was too late to go and tell them at night to see if I can get some kind of refund or something. But she told Me She can only guarantee warm food if I eat inside the diner, and she said that the chard food aspect could also not receive any refund because “the money already goes in the bank at the end of the night”. Not sure why that’s any kind of answer. But just why would literal black hard meat be put into a dish. I couldn’t tell if the spicy pork was in deep pork, or if it was chicken, it was not spicy whatsoever...

Would not recommend. No tequila, no cheese dip. Ok fine. Waitress recommended a “chilata” but couldn’t really describe it to me other than sour. I said sure, why not I’m sure it’s great! Then asks what kind of beer - I didn’t want beer, but she assured me it was a delicious beer with some sour in it, ok fine. But she brought me a beer Bloody Mary, which I can’t stand and if anyone had mentioned tomato juice, it would have been a hard no.

So after a sip, I put it on the end of the table and asked the waitress for a water. I did not ask to be refunded, but the man behind the counter quickly told my server I would still have to pay for it.

So we then decided that we weren’t welcome there with that sort of mentality. So I asked for the check. We had maybe 3 chips, but had to pay for the chips and salsa and my I drank drink. I realize that the post-Covid restaurant world is tough, but I at least expect to be treated reasonable. Save yourself the headache and try to find something else. But good luck, not many options! We landed on Big...

This place is a bit run-down, but it's the kind where they're too busy getting the food right to worry about tired decor. It felt clean and comfortable, service from our harried server (the only one working when we arrived, and for a while after) was pleasant and with a smile. I didn't even mind that my drink was left on the fountain grate for a while, because they were busy and obviously trying to do well. The food was great! I got a street taco trio. They didn't have the fried pork on the menu, but the chicken, spicy pork, and pulled beef were very good instead! Sizes weren't huge, but neither were prices, and I didn't have to juggle leftovers but left comfortably full, so I was very happy! Everyone (5 people) enjoyed their food, and the kiddo's mac n cheese wasn't the awful boxed powder type. Honestly, what weirdo orders mac n cheese at a MEXICAN place? My 7yo, that's who. The other 7yo got chicken nuggets. But both ate and were happy! I world...

I mean, we are in St. Anthony, Idaho so one wouldn't expect their mind to be blown by authentic Mexican food. The service was slow, but not a big deal. Stingy with the chips and salsa, no refills on our drinks. The waitress brought out my mocajete and said, "I think this is a soup of some sort?". They forgot my husband's meal, so by the time he got his, mine was cold. Rice and beans were flavorless. It's not bad, but it's also not good. Okay for a quick bite on the way to Yellowstone.

The staff working were really friendly, even gave a small tip just because they were nice. However the food unfortunately was awful. I’m not sure if it was just a bad night or what but the beans tasted old and flavorless, steak was rubbery, and the cheese wasn’t like shredded cheese just sprinkled on like I had expected it was melted to the chips like those of which had been in the microwave for way too long, like hard and crunchy cheese. Couldn’t finish them.

This shop is in the same compound with an inn. Hence, it is conveniently located for travelers. No need to drive out. The place looks fine. The servers were helpful. This is the first mexican place I have been to that serve bean paste with their taco appetizer… The seafood plate that I ordered tasted real well. The only problem was that it only contained shrimp for seafood. The menu mentioned 2 others.
