A new spot in St. Clairsville, conveniently located on a downtown corner. (The former video rental store, for locals.) It has been beautifully updated and has a modern, welcoming and relaxing vibe. The deck is wonderful and large, a perfect place to enjoy your treats and watch the local traffic and neighborhood folks out for walks. (Three dogs were spotted being walked by their owners...bonus points! 🐾💖) Also a HUGE SHOUT OUT for how great the accessible ramp is, often in our area this is not given much thought. It's heartening to see that the owners made it a great and welcoming place for people of all abilities! ❤️ I was greeted by staff upon arrival and was happy to see large chalkboard menus with nice descriptions of available hot and cold drinks, desserts and bistro style panini sandwiches & soup & salad choices. I had a London Fog (so, soooo good!) and a delicious amaretto biscotti. The biscotti was prepackaged, but was fresh and very good. The muffins in the display case were roughly the size of my head, and looked very appealing! I asked to taste the pistachio gelato and was given a little spoon sample. There will definitely be some gelato-eating on my next visit! 😆 Additionally the price was a very pleasant surprise...under 5 bucks for a big delicious hot drink and a tasty biscotti!! Looking forward to meeting friends and family here for a nice lunch or a coffee and a small "smackerel" (Shout out...
Read moreI LOVE Giacinta's! I watched this woman share her progress on Facebook, having BOUGHT that building, and having had the resources to not just FIX IT, but to BUILD IT BETTER. Take that, Bob the Builder. The atmosphere is great to me. I love the huge porch (shaded for once!) and we like to sit outside a lot. The staff are always kind, and they are very friendly to dogs as long your pup is behaved. They have local talent play on their patio in the summer.
The gelato is great! Molten Lava Cake and Tiramisu are my favorites. They offer Gelato Shakes and Gespresso Shakes that my boyfriend loves. The French Toast and the Red Velvet muffins are TO DIE FOR, and I'm not even a big muffin fan. I'm a picky eater, so I'm not too interested in their regular paninis, but every week, they rotate out a special panini. The Monte Cristo is KING, followed by the meatball panini for me. We also enjoy the Southwest; Chicken Bacon Rach, and Turkey and Brie paninis. I'm not a fan of coffee myself, but I love chai. The quality of the chai lattes I've gotten has varied, and now I can make better at home, but they actually helped me figure out how to make them! But yeah, I will haunt their Facebook page, PRAYING for the special paninis I like to rotate around for the week, and I will make it my week's MISSIION to go there. I don't know this woman personally, but she is starting an empire,...
Read moreGreat little place to grab a dessert. I had a red velvet muffin that was delicious. We liked the atmosphere on the breezy veranda for about two minutes. It's a wonderful charming cafe.
The only reason for the three on service was a teenaged employee took a loud business call ten feet away from us, for several minutes. We felt disrespected, and we didn't enjoy being ignored.
Regarding cell phone etiquette, taking a business call outside defeats the point if you're still disturbing customers. We didn't pay $20 to be annoyed listening about how you were implementing Christmas in July themes.
Perhaps part of the very nice renovations might be an office with a privacy door. Not being sarcastic. My buddy is an architect and I saw him there, so maybe you have already considered this. If...
